Oops didn't click the reply button. But congrats on the offer nevertheless!Hi I am an international student and offered a place in Launceston campus. I am looking for details on student support, lectures and community in general to help me decide from current students. Pl help
Not Moggiemed24 but I just accepted my place at the Hobart campus. I had an international equivalent ATAR of 99.95 and ISAT of 182Oops didn't click the reply button. But congrats on the offer nevertheless!
Oh wow, and you had to wait till round 3 with those stats? Not Moggiemed24 but I just accepted my place at the Hobart campus. I had an international equivalent ATAR of 99.95 and ISAT of 182
No I didn’t realise UTAS had medicine until after closure of round 2. Don’t laugh at me for being such an idiotOh wow, and you had to wait till round 3 with those stats?

Just taking an educated guess - since Australian ATARs will be out in December, they're likely holding off your decision until all applicants are ranked by ATAR (or equivalent) and UCAT?Hello, applied as a domestic student but graduated high school overseas. My application says decision pending - additional selection criteria. Apparently "a decision has not yet been made as to whether you have met the additional selection criteria for this course". Was wondering if anyone knew what this criteria is as I checked the course description and can't find it. Thanks!
I thought the same thing, but then it should say that I would be competing with other applicants for an offer. So not sure, just know that I'm missing something as prefaced here Course preference status explanations - University of Tasmania application help. Sent them an email. Will call them on Monday as well, that's just always a pain cause of the time difference haha. Anyway, thanks for your response!^^Just taking an educated guess - since Australian ATARs will be out in December, they're likely holding off your decision until all applicants are ranked by ATAR (or equivalent) and UCAT?
For what it's worth, I think UTAS is using a 'borrowed' version of UAC and hence changing the messages might be difficult for them, so it's like leasing College Board's website for their uni useI thought the same thing, but then it should say that I would be competing with other applicants for an offer. Ohhh, I see. Yess, I'll just wait for their response and take it from there! And 480k is INSANE I would actually pass out if someone told me that even by mistake. I don't think someone could cover that if they sold an arm AND a kidney LOLLLFor what it's worth, I think UTAS is using a 'borrowed' version of UAC and hence changing the messages might be difficult for them, so it's like leasing College Board's website for their uni use
They're pretty good with email replies - I found that submitting a message through their website gets the fastest response.
Also UTAS admissions admin staff sometimes make mistakes - for example they asked me to prepay my tuition of $480k - but it turned out to be 48k in the end as the deposit. This took me a few back-and-forth rounds of emails to fix up.
I hope you get an offer - it's a 5 yr program with (from what I heard) lots of clinical experience
Hope you got an update on this.Hello, applied as a domestic student but graduated high school overseas. My application says decision pending - additional selection criteria. Yepp, just got a reply, they said that they don't need anything right now and will assess my application after year 12 results are released in December. So our first hypothesis was proven true I guess!Hope you got an update on this.
I was a domestic applicant last year and my application read the same message until i received my offer!
May be likely they simply haven’t updated it![]()
Can you please share your ATAR/UCAT and State and Rurality?Got offers for Launceston and Hobart campus but already heading to UQ so at least one spot going back in. Good luck everyone.
