UTAS UTAS Medicine: Entry Information and Discussion

No interstate straight from school Metro offers, without special considerations were made this year I understand.
My ATAR was 99.90. I am posting so others don’t pin their hopes on Tassie. This email arrived this morning. 😔
“Entry to the Medicine program is highly competitive and places are limited. You did not have an ATAR that was competitive for receiving an offer in the 2025 intake. “
I know someone (metro and interstate) who received an offer for 2025 intake at 99.65. How does that work?

Oh what luxuries Tas students have!!
I had 99.80 & 100%ile UMAT, UTas offered me $20,000/year scholarship, then told me I wasn't good enough for med 😭 (albeit I wasn't Tas).
Did you end up receiving offer in the subsequent rounds for UTAS? and What year are you talking about - prior to 2018?

___________
A1 replies: It was 2016, I was offered the 3-year B. Med Research followed by assured entry to 5-year MBBS.
Back then UTas didn't require 99.95 for interstate. I had tops UMAT sections 1 & 3, section 2 only 70%ile. UTas disqualified me from direct MBBS on this "unacceptable" 70%ile 😭
