I'm in the same boat as you with 179 (89th) and am interstate. I have no idea what's going on either

I only applied for JMP and WSU. Do you know if JMP is the same as WSU in that they interview solely based on UMAT and not GPA/ATAR even if you've already completed schooling? Just thinking maybe my GPA is the issue

This is really Strange, some did get an interview from Adelaide today with UMAT 85th percentile and raw score 175.

I thought interviews were solely based on umat?

If you're an applicant that has surprisingly missed out based on this information, then yes, definitely worth following up with the Uni, imo. But check your junk email folder first!!

I've got the message that I was unsuccessful so it's definitely not in my junk, but I'll contact the uni and let you guys know if I get any helpful information. :)

I got the email at 1pm also (Brisbane time). Has anyone been allocated to interview at Newcastle? I'm pretty sure I ranked Newcastle 1st in terms of interview preference but I was assigned to UNE...

It is routine for all Qld applicants to be allocated UNE for interviews regardless of preference. This has been the case for several years, so I don't know why JMP don't just flat out acknowledge this openly.

Same here, I preferenced UON but got UNE. I'm technically closer to UNE, not sure if that has any impact.

Makes sense but yeah I agree, I'm going to ask if I can swap since I've pretty much blocked out that whole time period for interviews in/near Sydney, as I'm sure is the same for many other non-standards too.

I agree this poster's comment seemed to read as though they were replying regarding Adelaide Med, but they confirmed below they were talking about JMP.
