could someone clarify this for me... i know the four core papers is what counts for acceptance into med.. but what about getting the initial interview...
are all papers taken into consideration when interviews are offered???

Nope it's still just the core papers as long as your overall gpa is above 6

EDIT: Please check rumours thread before asking questions such as these

This has been asked so many times. Maybe we can put a disclaimer somewhere?
There is a disclaimer about asking obvious questions, and there's even the 'rumour' threads. Unfortunately, people seem to prefer to ask, rather than spend 5 seconds looking for the answer >.>

To make things worse the person who asked this question has asked it on previous occasions.....
*Cough*, play nice iUser, lets not direct attacks at any one person :) Froot.

lol iUser hahaha if you were more observant you would have noticed that my first question was about admission into the medical programme where as the latter was about getting an interview. There is a difference.
anywhooo.. how did everyone find the physics test?
i thought it was nothing out of the ordinary...

E2011, iUser, please refrain from personal attacks on MSO (before this gets more heated).
Thanks,

Sounds similar to what people at my hall said - People were saying overall it was pretty easy apart from a few "hard" questions...
As for me, I had to see a doctor to get prescribed antibiotics for some lymph node complications - Will be sitting alternate test on the coming Monday morning for physics

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE FOR THIS EVENING'S 36% BIOCHEM TEST

Sorry if it seemed that i was attacking people (darn internet)
I put a lot of effort into the rumors page and it does sorta anger me when people ask similar questions that can be answered with a little diligence.

Maybe its just mid year stress :(

did anyone go to fridays "test info" medsci lecture? if so, can you please summarise what was said?

I didn't go as I spent the day planting trees instead, yay?

Hope the studies are going well everyone!

Just to put it out there, it may be worthwhile to start thinking about what you're going to put in the MH03 form. Also, when filling it out, note that the upper limit is 3000 characters and not words (which i know was a shocking misunderstanding for some biomeds)

yeh, but the problem was that the online submission form had a character limit, so even if you were below 300 words, you could have had more than 3000 characters (though that would be pretty damn difficult!), so the form would have declined your entry.

now its just more clear. Though some people may not know how to get a character count :p

Either way, I wouldn't get too worked up about the MH03 form - some interviewers don't use it at all, while others use it a wee bit to structure questions. Definitely don't get stressed about the form.
The most important thing is - be prepared to talk about anything you put on the form.

What the hell...

Did anyone else get screwed up physics marks for test 1? Mines at 28% :/
Lucky I'm kinda tipsy on moet and chandon right now, otherwise I'd be much more concerned
