Good morning Aucklanders,

Just got my interview invitation a little after 9am this morning. Scheduled for next Wednesday at midday (I'm applying as a graduate).

I got my last grade back yesterday afternoon so I thought they did pretty well to get the e-mail out so quickly.

Hey all,

Just got my interview. There doesnt really seem to be a specific order from what i can see. My core is 8.5 and overall 8.33 or something and my interviews for 10.45am the 14th of December.

Nice, just got mine as well. Mine's on the same day but at 11:55am.

Same GPA as you as well lol. I guess it's being sent in a kind of alphabetical order?

Nah cant be that, my first and last name start with A, but im on thursday. Either way, congrats on the rest who got invited.

BTW guys, you know how the invitation letter said to reply to an email to accept/decline the offer, did they get back to you when you sent an email?

Nope, though I only sent it this morning. I imagine there's probably quite a few replies to sift through so we won't be emailed back immediately.

I got an email back ^_^ I have a question regarding the "then why don't you become a nurse" question which may come up in the interview. What is the answer!? I know why I want to be a doctor, but I don't know why I don't want to be a nurse? :huh:

lets face it mate, nurses get alot of crap from people around them (doctors, patients etc)

Yeah that may be true, but I can't realistically say that though :unsure:

you're gonna have to phrase it in a way that is professional, the interview panel are (hopefully) realistic people and i'm sure they know that alot of us dont want to do nursing for the obvious. Anywho, what did they tell you in your reply? im just worried coz they said to email them before 5pm tomoro

Going for the shirt/tie/pants combo and hopefully some nicely polished shoes. I think the "student doctor" look is a pretty safe option.

Besides, it could get quite hot in a suit? Just my thoughts

Got my interview for Thursday. I;m thinking of shirt-tie-pants combo. But still considering about ties, would it be too formal?

Hmmm wondering what the interview cut-off is for this year. The lowest GPA for 4 cores i know is 7.75, so far
