Bond Bond Medicine: General Discussion

I want to thank all the MSO moderators for their thoughtful replies to all my curly questions over the last few months....

I wish all the students a wonderful journey in this career path of learning and giving to others....whether you become a GP or a top specialist, stay humble...

PS- Best wishes for those waiting for offers
A GP is also a top specialist tbh.

yes I got mine onFriday

That is really inconsistent with what the lady told me when I called this morning - but the quicker we get them the better. So you sent your acceptance on friday and got the orientation package a few hours later??

Also to everyone who has received the orientation packages- did you apply for Fee-Help or did you give an upfront payment?

for our immunisation compliance, I couldn't find anything in our orientation pack about it. Is there supposed to be a form we bring to the doctors or just the document that we got from our interview email?

Hey guys, I was looking at the compliance handbook and what I understand from it is that we need to apply for blue card (already done), National criminal police certificate, first aid, cpr, vaccines and a bunch to forms to read and sign. Is my understanding correct? Thanks.

I was wondering if this applies to medical students:
(this is what it said the Fee-help info booklet https://www.studyassist.gov.au/sites/default/files/ed19-0226_fee-help_booklet_acc.pdf?v=1577071221)

Is there a loan fee?
There may be a 25 per cent FEE-HELP loan fee applied to some undergraduate study. The loan fee does not count towards the combined HELP loan limit. The loan fee is applied to each unit of study. For example, if you are studying a unit that costs $1,000, the loan fee for that unit will be $250. Therefore, your total FEE-HELP debt for that unit will be $1,250.
The loan fee does NOT apply to:
• undergraduate study (with a census date on or after 1 January 2019) if you are enrolled at a Table B provider (see glossary)
• postgraduate study or enabling courses
• undergraduate study through OUA
• bridging study for overseas-trained professionals

I don't entirely understand your question but if you are wondering whether the 25% Fee-help loan fee is applied to studying Medicine - the short answer is no if you choose to study at bond (it does not apply). I found this information on estudent when applying for fee-help and have attached it below. I hope this answered your question :)
