With that being your 5th post you should have gained access to PMs. Click on my name and then “Start conversation” or go by the envelope symbol in the top right. Thank you :)

omg im sorry, i cannot see the “start conversation” ahhhhh!!! can u send me a message first???

Remove my post if necessary mods - but I was wondering for the people who did the interivew, what was the atmosphere like? - was it very formal or quite relaxed? - I'm asking because I've heard that dress codes differ between universities (Monash and UNSW are very formal) so I was wondering what people's experiences were like for CSU

Did anyone actually extensively prepare for the interview? I know that on the interview invitation it specficaly mentions that it is an interview that you are unable to prepare for. I kinda took their word and just revised my ambitions for a career in dent and the rural focus but was unsure if there was really anything more i could possibly do?

I mean all unis say that :p

I just did the same as you - and the past questions in this thread - apparently it is quite different this year tho

Yep, just did the past questions but as you say - apparently it is different this year. I am freaking out a little tbh ahahah. Mine is tomorrow 9am.

Yep mines at 9 on the 27th!

I think they might just do more scenario/ethical questions this year as opposed to the previous years that focused on these rural-based questions.

Because honestly I don't see how they could vary it up that much - the email literally states the interview is an opportunity to demonstrate "communication skills and to further explore their motivation for undertaking a career in dentistry and their commitment to rural and regional dental practice".

Haha yep, that was exactly my reasoning as well. I doubt there is much variation given that the interview is an attempt to probe students motivation to study dent with a rural focus.

I am just confused as to how they will conduct the puzzle tests (as seen in previous years on campus) and the tooth model drawing.

I'm 99% sure they cut that - maybe the only option is an online logical puzzle similar to the decision making section of the UCAT, but for tooth drawing and tests of motor skills - no way

I was also thinking something along the lines of an online logical puzzle. It's the only replacement that makes sense - but then again, it might be hard to introduce given the prevalence of tech issues on-top of the very short 20 min time frame. Might be cut all together tbh.

Hey guys, I've got my interview tomorrow as well and I think they will scrapping any of the puzzle questions from previous years and replace them with other questions, I'm expecting around 5-8 different questions with about ~3mins per question.

The interview was ridiculously hard. I stuffed up big time. Anyone else?
Bro for real everyone saying they stuffed up - u scaring the c**p out of me :p

Wish me luck tommorrow because I think I'm gonna need it
