CSU CSU Dentistry: Q&A and General Discussion

Congrats for those that received an offer for 2026 for CSU Dentistry! Please use the below link to join the Facebook group chat for your year group, most uni correspondence will occur here Facebook

Hard to say. Last year it was a hurdle, but there isn't really enough data to pass judgement on that this year. My assumption has been they interviews are based on balancing rurality and ranking GPA. So, it's likely there isn't a 'cut-off' per say. On the safer side, try to get 6.5+ GPA.

Is there anyone who studied CSU's Health and Medical Science course online and later on applied to Melb University's postgrad dent course? How did you go about meeting the prerequisite subjects required by Melb Uni?

Better to ask Unimelb, bc Melb Uni only recognised few Australian universities. I had few subjects with MQ and USYD, they only recognised my subjects that completed at USYD.

Updates CSU dent course information:

Old information:
- Class size: 48 (2024), 50(ish) (2025)
- International students: 10 (2024) -13 (2025)
- Domestic places: 38 (2024), 35ish (2025)
- Applications: As per prior years: 200+ (2024), ???(2025)

Updates:
- Class size: low 50s
- International students: 25 (currently rumoured - will confirm when new cohort comes in)
- Domestic student: 25 (by elimination)
- Applications: As per prior years.

Basically, demand has stayed the same, but supply has reduced greatly.
