Curtin Curtin Medicine: General Questions and Discussion

I didn't count, but there were 2 circuits at the same time( each with 8 stations) but there were some empty spots, so definetely less than 16. Btw I was at the 9.30am session.
Personally, I don't feel as if I've done very well since at every station I finished speaking well before the 6 minute limit, and every interviewer had to ask me all 2 of their follow up questions. How about you?
Agree with what Crow and Vanquita said. Also, the follow-up questions are standards and the interviewers have to ask the same ones for each participant to ensure that everyone has a fair chance of answering.
It's the same for any LOTE speaking exams that one would have to do if they took those subjects. :)))
Congratulations on getting to the interview process, and all the best for your future studies!

I can give some background info to clarify. Crow & I were contacted by a member saying she was advised by Curtin Admissions the formula 0.6Atar+0.4Umat was used thus she was unsuccessful. We explained to her using such formula was mathematically wrong, but Curtin would not listen to our argument.

It wasn't this member but her friend, who was in similar situation, employed a lawyer to challenge. Curtin investigated and the outcome was as I wrote in my previous post.
Would be interesting to know if they were given unbonded or bonded places (in comparison to other students who were interviewed).

I see that there’s an offer in the offers thread - has anyone else heard anything? I haven’t. Feel like I’m just waiting for the inevitable rejection email now 😫

Is anyone able to provide links that talk about how Curtin has a focus on rural and/or primary care in their program?

Ahhh if you did not receive a Curtin offer yesterday does that mean your chance is over? I called them up yesterday and they said that they would be sending rejection emails but I do not have one of those either. Thanks !

I didn't receive a rejection email either

Yep same, got nothing. Kinda poor form I thought - but maybe they’ll send it next week.

It's not unusual for Universities to not send out rejection emails at the same time they send out offers. Given the sheer number of people receiving offers who will go on to decline them, unless an applicant is clearly ineligible, then they're unlikely to be ruled completely out of contention at that point. Some universities send bulk rejection emails at the end of O Week when cohorts have been finalised.

Yep, I noticed last year quite a few people got offered a place via phone call once the semester had already started! So I'm thinking if they send rejection letters at all, it will be for people that are very far down the list.

Quick question,

Did the majority of Curtin offers come out a couple days ago? I've getting conflicting signals as I've been told that offers come out this Friday
