yeh i also think that will be the case for most ppl. but in my case, i think i did just as bad in all other sections:cry:

no. they never tell you how many you got right or wrong. this is acers secret. all the scores they give you have been scaled and moderated
Insha Allah (God willing) your thoughts about your case (i.e doing bad in all of the 3 sections) are not correct and the opposite of your thoughts about your case is correct.

i really have no idea how UMAT is marked - i just know i walked out feeling horrible...
can someone please tell me what mark i would be expecting with this explanation of how i think i did...
i think i may have got 10-15 right in the first section
section 2 is usually my strongest by far (Ext 2 english coming in) - i got 95%-100% in the practises i did- however i thought it was a lot more difficult in this yrs exam so i may have gotten 80%?
section 3- i think i might have got about 25% int his section...
i got an email from unsw saying is i get a raw score below 45 there is very little chance of me getting an interview (rural entry) - can someone please tell me what all this means.?

10-15 in the first section will be less that 50%tile in my opinion so maybe somewhere in the 40's?
section 2 is more about life experience (and luck) more than ext2 english although if you are a person who has done a lot of critical thinking that should have put you at an advantage for both section 1 & 2. 80%tile would be high 50's 60~.
25% is well below average for section 3 so id say 0-20 unfortunately
45 raw score is 135 raw total which would be about 20th %tile.

thankyou very much for explaining this to me...so i'm pretty sure i have veryy little chance of getting in- and you just confirmed it for me. i'll post up my results when i get them.- i like critical thinking- the time limit is what gets me in section one and the puzzles just didnt make a lot of sense to me on the day. i made some ok educated guesses though i think.

abbey91, don't worry about how u think u went, becos the truth is u never reli know. u may have guessed a few right even. so anything can happen. and besides results are coming out soon so there's not much that can be changed now. if you don't get a good result than theres always next year

i'm glad someone doesa...it scared me in the exam because some people in front of me finished sections in like 15minutes and sat there with there hands behind their heads when i was upto like question 10- i had to pick "b" for a whole chunk in the middle of section 1- i skipped to the last questions because i could read one thing and answer more questions...for section 1 it was mroe the time i struggled with than the questions and was it just me or was section two A LOT harder this yr...although still easy compared to other sections....and there were none of the easy comparison puzzles in section

I thought S2 was the easiest, S1 alright and S3 the hardest.
Did you get the houses question in s3, with the different coloured doors and roofs?

It was the door pattern becomes the new roof pattern in the next one (or I guess it would've worked vice versa).
Ahh just a few more days now. I'm extremely anxious, to say the least :wacko:

Im hoping to get my results sooner than later. If i go half decent which is highly unlikely i migh review my unsw application form.
