I'm pretty sure they always use a lower cutoff for GWS applicants...
AH I am 57/59/66, 92%ile and GWS, so scared right now, especially since they weight my best section so lowly :/

Sorry to be the one to say this but even with the best case scenario with S3 being weighed at 50%, your combined score would be 149 (57+59+66/2) which would probably not make the GWS cut-off based on the 2014 info. Since then scores have only gone up and S3 scores have most likely been weighted even less this time around makes those chances even lower.

However, take this with a grain of salt. UWS has mysterious ways and uses sorcery to rank their applicants so anything is possible.

My score was very similar, 61/59/66, also GWS, and I got an interview so there may still be chance if there are later rounds.

haha yeah don't worry, in UMAT terms that gap is pretty significant so im bracing myself to accept the worst just in case. But I'll post whatever the outcome is on MSO so maybe future applicants can benefit from my struggles, LOL.

UMAT: 71/68/71 100%ile
GWS: No
Rural: No
Interstate: Yes (QLD)
School-leaver: Yes

Does anyone know why I didn't get an offer? Are non-rural interstate offers later, or is the cutoff that high? Will there even be more offers?

I've received email confirmation of my application but nothing since. Also submitted predicted OP/ATAR form, which was 99+. Am genuinely worried :eek: !

from all the reading I have done on this forum this is what I have discerned .
Rural interstate offers goes out early along with the people who applied from within the state but non-rural interstate offers go out at a later different date. Best wishes
 
Received an offer for an interview at UWS MBBS (received the email Monday 24/10 at 3:17pm in NSW)

UMAT: 204, 99th%ile, 61/81/62
Non-standard, non-rural, non-GWS.

Congratulations everyone!

I swear the hype for med this year is sooooo low compared to last few years. I noticed this UMAT debrief threads on BoS and here, and with results and interviews lmao. Last few years the moment interviews started coming out threads would go wild.

Most people are super focused on external HSC exams at the moment, but I agree, it feels like theirs less discussion.

Maybe after HSC, especially closer to actual interview dates people will start talking
