Did you get a rejection email today?hey @med989 - did you end up landing an interview? Just for the record, I missed out with ATAR 99.80, UMAT 77
Did you get a rejection letter today? If not, don't you think there is still hope?hey @med989 - did you end up landing an interview? Just for the record, I missed out with ATAR 99.80, UMAT 77
Never mind. Just believe you are gonna be a doctor somehow. Where there is a will there is a way. Keep your chin up mate!@quirkylifeofP - yes I did get a rejection email, at about 5:50pm (just when I was thinking maybe an administration error had prolonged the 2nd round offer ordeal). So yeah, definitely no hope for me![]()
Well, it's going to be a very busy few days
Re Monash MBBS
Total number of places (all-inclusive): 240 (A1's reference table)
Number of round 1 offers: 123 (today's The Age)
Number of places still available 117
Number of interviewees invited to round 2 (4 sessions @ 24 people each): 96
Assuming that all invited are (?) above r1 cutoff(s), the conclusion seems to be: good interview, good chance
Hate to disappoint everyone but if you delve further into the Age website, in addition to the 123 which are CSP only, there are also the ERC and the Bonded offers. When you add them all up, over 200 offers have gone out in round 1. Unfortunately the Age journalise doesn't understand the structure of Monash Direct Entry Medicine.
Looking at the Monash MD admission guide, there are 144 CSP, 30 ERC and 68 BMP total for undergrad domestic. Assuming Herald's numbers are correct, that would mean that there are 23 spots left consisting of 21 CSP, 1 ERC and 1 BMP, excluding first round reject/defer offers. Personally I find the fact that there is only 1 BMP a bit strange. Could Herald Sun also be including graduate entry in those numbers?Sorry got it wrong, the numbers are in the Herald Sun and they are CSP 123, ERC 29 and Bonded 67.

I certainly hope you are right haha@ccsaus with 99.90/89%ile not getting a Monash interview indicates interstate interviewees come with very high ATAR+UMAT combos, thus higher potential to score a place than 1st round interviewees in general. I would estimate up to 60-70 of the 96 will surpass the 1st round offer cutoff, which means either Herald's numbers are incorrect or Monash anticipates 40-50 1st round offers will be declined (hard to believe so though!).
Hi guys. I have neither received an interview invitation nor a rejection from Monash. Does it mean that I'm rejected ?
Thank you it s good to hear that there s still some hopeI hope no rejection yet means there is a chance Monash might call you to a top-up interview after the 25th if a number of interstate interviewees don't turn up next week. That's what happened last year.
nopeAre you allowed to write during reading time for the Monash MMI?
