JCU JCU Medicine: General Entry Discussion

Hey, I am a little confused about how preferences and offers work on QTAC. Can someone please explain it to me. Thank you!

hey its still pending for me! (the wait is killing me haha)
Ahaha yea the wait is quite long but mine turned to satisfied today! Hope yours did too!

I think it just means for each offer round you can only receive one offer. And the offer will be for the course you preference the highest as long as you meet all requirements. So if you applied for the same course at two different unis although you may technically meet the entry requirements for both you will only get an offer for the uni/course that you placed the highest. Hope that helps a bit.

Oh thank you! Am I able to defer the first preference to view if I am eligible for the second in tomorrow's round? Or if I am not eligible for the first can I put second above the first to see if I will be eligible for that? Or do I have to wait for the next offer round to find out?
Sorry for asking so many questions😅

I’m not sure if they let you change preference so close to offers being released Qtac will probably lock you out from doing this for a couple of days. You may be able to conditionally accept offers/defer but you will need to check on the Qtac website for specifics. If you are not eligible for your first preference qtac knows this and an offer can only be made for your other preferences so I wouldn’t stress about having to change this on the system at this point.

Thank you! That was very helpful☺️

Does anyone know if we get emailed if we are unsuccessful?? I'd rather be told straight to the face than be anxiously refreshing emails for 3 hours 😅😅

Did anyone get a phone call who had JCU in a lower position not first preference on QTAC?
I personally haven't been phoned, but it makes sense that they would bc I don't think jcu knows your qtac preferences. And I think that means you haven't gotten in to your first few?? But I actually don't know so take my words with a grain of salt.

When offers are released, please post your details in the thread linked below, not here. It clutters threads and makes collating data impossible if information is spread everywhere.

Oh QTAC just sent me a text saying 'congrats! you have an offer. Login to your QTAC account and respond online by 4PM, 17 January 2022. Keep an eye out for your offer email later today.' I guess they might send texts sooner than emails.
