Does anyone know anything about second round interviews? On QTAC it says entry requirements pending and that I have been unsuccessful for Dec interviews but I may be selected for second round, so does that mean I may still have a chance?

Hey, need just a lil bit of advice. I got JCU med but I am waiting for nsw offers (home state) and so do I still accept and enrol? I have heard that enrolling is not a good idea as you may start to pay for certain things?? If I do enrol does that mean i should fill out hecs forms and stuff?

Yesterday i received an offer from JCU med! I am an Australian permanent resident, not an Australian citizen yet. Does anyone know if i am eligible for any of the HELP loans from the government?

Hop on the Centrelink site and start an application. My feeling is that you aren’t eligible, but the only way to know for sure is to go direct to the source.

Often the relevant Med student societies organise these and it’s not uncommon for them to wait until cohorts have been confirmed and they get a list of student names from the school to ensure they’re only admitting enrolled students to the group.

Yeah there is. Go to the JCUMSA Facebook page then click on their groups. You should see it but they haven’t started accepting.

Yes, I got offered an interview ages ago at the start of December. They based the interviews off of your predicted ATAR and your written application.

I completed the interview and was offered a place around a week ago. I got an IB 45, 99.95 ATAR equivalent.

yes, i called them yestereday and heard that they will be offering interviews based on ATARs for NSW, otherwise that would be unfair to students who's ATARs were released late and did not get a predictive grade?

If you’ve heard it straight from JCU they will be then! I just had a feeling for universities it didn’t really matter if it was fair or not more they physically couldn’t accomodate it due to how close it is to the start of sem which is at the end of the day just unlucky for NSW students but I’m happy to be wrong on this one!
