No. The interviewers know nothing about you other than your name when you go in - they don’t have access to your written application.

Hey, does your application need to be very formal with the best vocabulary and super well constructed? Or is it okay if it is able to get the point across not informally, but in a more normal tone, like for example "I am a member of ....... and here I met med students with rural placements...... and they taught me this...."

Write it with the normal tone. Just make sure you check spelling and grammar etc and you should be all good.

Hi how do you know wether JCU has received your application? Will they send you an email? My tracking post app says it has been "delivered" to Douglas QLD which is where JCU is but will I get confirmation they have received it?

You'll be sent an email to confirm they've received the application at some point. I wouldn't stress if you don't receive that for a number of weeks, though - they have a lot of applications to sort through!

If i remember correctly, applicants usually send an empty envelope inside the application with the applicant's address, so that if JCU receives your application, they stamp the letter and send it back to you.

They definitely don't - I read this yesterday. Not sure where though! I'll try and find the link.

ETA: entirety I haven't been able to find where I read it, but if you look at this document you'll notice EAS is mentioned for almost every degree under the "OP-related adjustments" section except for the MBBS (page 85) and dentistry (page 37): https://www.jcu.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/504741/JCU-Course-Specific-Guide-v3.0.pdf

Mine was postmarked on the 30th september and i double checked online through express post. it said "we have reeived your application." i have so many regrets leavign it to the last minute - pre much just crappy time management skills really. im hoping that it all ends up okay. after all it does say "postmarked by the 30th septemebr" which is what i did right? :0 would love to hear anyone elses experiences with this

As long as it was date stamped by the 30th (which it was) then you’re completely fine

Yes, they do. Should be anytime between now and the end of the month.

Hi im Cat and applied too...I haven't received email yet and postmarked on 29th, but from Tasmania so didn't arrive till Tuesday or Wednesday i think... and i cant imagine sorting through over 2000 applications...

Edit: oh I've received an email now haha, they clearly don't mess around
