Pretty much everyone preferences Newcastle (I did) but Armidale is good: tight cohort, good teaching, nice place to live; "best decision I never made".

*it's possible that you'll be placed in Armidale in yr 4 or 5. And remember that ultimately your contract with NSW Health as an intern could put you anywhere in NSW anyway.

As a side note. I preferenced Armidale 4th for fifth year and got it. So i’ll be going there in 2024 so I am looking forward to it, to be honest!
I know a girl who actually did manage to swap from UON to UNE, but i think that was a very special circumstance, and also that’s the opposite way the OP wants.

Thanks Ammiecat! Is it okay for you to share briefly what sort of circumstance that they would consider as special to allow the transfer between the campuses?

Also, if anyone who receives a UON offer this year but would prefer UNE - send me a message and we could try and contact the Dean to ask for a swap. Thanks everyone :)

If you’re placed at UNE initially then third year can’t be Newcastle, it will be (if it doesn’t change) 6 months Uni at Armidale, 5 weeks Armidale hospital, 5 weeks at a GP anywhere, 5 weeks of an online project (anywhere), and 5 weeks at either Taree or Tamworth hospital.
You’re still separated in 3rd year from UON.

Hey!
In previous years UAC have released "unofficial" or congratulation emails anytime after 1am (nsw time) on the 12th of January. I am unsure if you're able to accept prior to official offers being released at 7:30am, but UAC is known to send emails very early in the morning informing you of an offer. Hope this helps!! :)
 
Not to get anyone excited prematurely, if memory serves me correctly everyone who could log in early received an offer as the accounts are created before the offers are officially released. Not official obviously and if you have applied for a backup at UON that could also be what the account is for but generally a very good omen.

If you can’t log in however don’t get nervous heaps of people who couldn’t log in also received offers it’s really luck or the draw who can log in early.

where is the login portal? I don't have a UoN account. how can i test this out? Thanks

Also, would there be a portal for UNE? or are they the same one.
