Doesn’t really happen at UON they tend to over offer assuming they will get some rejections. Other unis like WSU it’s much more common as they tend to only offer the number of places they have so any rejections they receive will result in an upgrade. This is just going historically btw and it has happened in the past just in very very small numbers so the best advice is to just assume it won’t be upgraded.

If you've received an offer to study medicine at UNE (JMP), massive congrats! 🎉🎉🎉 We look forward to meeting all of you when you arrive next month. Sometime after you accept your offer, you should receive an email from admissions explaining how to enrol and get started with compliance requirements for placement.

From our side, I have a few links that you'll find useful in the coming days and weeks:

Firstly, join the JMP UNE 2023-2027 Facebook group via the link on our website. This is where most of the information you’ll receive from UNEMSA and other societies will be! It’s also a good way to suss out your new classmates 🧐

Secondly, read the UNEMSA FRESHER GUIDE put together by our lovely Pubs & Design Officer. It contains heaps of information on the colleges, places around town to eat and drink, as well as some textbooks and other things you might like to buy before you arrive. 🩺

You'll also find more info & pics on our WEBSITE, which our Website Officer has been updating. 🖥️

For UoN, do we get an email to confirm acceptance or is indication of "matriculation" under the application status page enough to confirm?
 
I asked JMP support if BMPs are able to be upgraded if people decline their offers, and they said no...

They said you get what you get and it won't change. Seems very odd/unfair that people getting top-ups in future rounds can get a CSP but none of the BMPs of the first round get upgraded despite ranking higher on the list.

Historically they have but in very rare cases only because they rarely have CSPs left after rejections due to over offering. I wouldn’t get to worked up about this though as there is no way to tell if you would even be in line for one considering you don’t know your interview mark.
