JMP JMP: General Entry Discussion

I'm a NZ resident so I don't actually qualify for BMP
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I would contact JMP now and confirm your offer is for a bonded position and ask how you should proceed.

You will need to submit an application for a bonded position to the government where they determine your eligibility for a bonded place - if you are ineligible (as NZ citizens are), then you may have your place taken off you.

Course Type: Med
Offer Received: Yes
University: JMP
UMAT: 96th 191 (67/65/60)
ATAR or GPA: 7.0
Special Considerations:
interstate
Offer Type: BMP
Other Information: Rejected as received unbonded from WSU first round

I have to back up what skrap said earlier. Don't give up on your dreams English is my second language and I moved to oz after school with not much English at all and terrible year 12 scores so I always thought I'd "missed the boat" and even if I did try that having a non Anglo accent would prevent me from ever doing well in S1 and S2 or in the interviews and yet here I am 2 offers out of 3 ( did not get a UTAS offer yet). I am so incredibly grateful that 52 weeks ago I quit my continuous job moved interstate and started studying fulltime and sat the UMAT for the first time, don't give up if you're planning to try again and if you haven't tried yet then just take a chance
How did you find out whether it was bonded or unbonded?

sigh... its a pretty big mistake to make on JMPs part... but yeah I've already emailed them and accepted the offer anyway

Quick question, I'm a Queenslander and I interviewed in the Nov/Dec round. Was I eligible for the 1st offer round (Jan 11) or is today considered my first offer round?

Your “first round” would have been Jan 11th. I have a friend from Qld (nira) who interviewed in Nov/Dec and received their offer on the 11th.

where else can you check the details of your offer? (besides the email from UAC)

You will eventually receive an email direct from UNE also detailing your offer. Last year, I received it a few hours after the UAC email.

Incidentally, this might be of interest to you: last year, my UAC information said I’d received a BMP for UNE, but I’ve just checked back through my emails, and the congratulations email I got directly from UNE further details the conditions of my offer and clearly states I received a CSP (I literally just discovered this now!!). So there could be a discrepancy between what UAC is saying and the direct offer information you’ll receive from UNE.

Course Type: Med
Offer Received: Yes
University: JMP (Newcastle)
UMAT: 90th%ile (58/62/60)
ATAR or GPA: 99.35
Special Considerations:
EAS
Offer Type: not sure
Other Information: I'm very confused how this is posssible, as I thought someone called the university and they said that they were only doing top up offers for New England for people that interviewed in November/December (I'm from Queensland). I also bombed out in the interview???

Perhaps you received a top up? Actually, if you interviewed in Nov/Dec, you did receive a top up! Congrats :D

Last year I also thought I bombed my JMP interview, but still got an offer. It’s so hard to judge your own performance, and impossible to judge it compared to others.

Still very surprised! What I'm confused about is how my top up could be unbonded (which I think it is). Both my UAC offer letter and the email I got from UON said it was a CSP place and mentioned nothing about BMP. I will definitely be calling them to confirm before I cancel my Adelaide enrollment.
