Aww, thank you. I'm planning to continue my RN this july and also to sit for UCAT this coming july as well, can i still do that ?
Starting RN (a uni course I presume) this July won't make you eligible yet since you need to have completed at least one year of uni by end of the year you apply. If you don't mind the fee you can sit UCAT this July for practice but you will have to sit it again to apply in 2020 for 2021 intake. Good luck.
Unsure whether this is the most appropriate place to ask, but has anyone been successfully accepted into the BMP after just one year FTE? I've seen many non-standard applicants in the Collated Data threads, so I understand what they're looking for insofar as University marks and UMAT (now UCAT), but few have detailed the nature and length of their University study.

I’m guessing you mean JMP rather than BMP, but regardless, the answer is yes! So long as you meet the UCAT and GPA requirements (and by 1FTE you mean at least 8 subjects of study or equivalent), then you’ll receive an interview and then you are on even footing against all other applicants (both school-leavers and other non-standards). I’ve heard the JMP cohort consists of (comparably to other undergraduate unis) a pretty large proportion of non-standards, among them plenty of people who had previously only completed 1FTE of tertiary study.

Yes it appears to be the same with UCAT.

I doubt they can tell you about the cutoff on 31st Aug. It's not a mark set by JMP but actually by you applicants when filling up the available interview spots.
I bet no JMP person will put their job on the line to save you $70 UAC application. The standard reply to such questions is it depends on the calibre of this year's applicants.
Sorry to ask this again but my previous post on the topic has not been answered.
I came across a document on the UoN website which states that JMP students must spend a minimum of 2 semesters "away from their university of enrolment" to do clinical placement. I am totally fine with doing clinical placement within an hour or two of home but I can't commit to moving to Armidale or anywhere else for that matter. I'm not sure whether UoN are specifically referring to distant placements or just hospital placements in general, but as a mother of a 2 and 4 year old, moving away from my kids is out of the question.
Does anyone know exactly what is meant by provision 13.4 of the below document and whether being a mum would be considered grounds for relaxing this provision?

Maybe I'll have to call them, or possibly even bring it up in person an the interview. Hmmm
I definitely recommend emailing or calling them so you know what you’re in for. The interview would be leaving it far too late - what if they say you must move away during the interview? Also I’m pretty sure the interviewers aren’t always staff members at the uni. Sometimes they can be community members who aren’t part of the Med faculty.
The nature of the MMI at Newcastle really means there’s no time for questions anyway - it’s just in & out each station in 8 minutes.
Email them from a new email account so you can maintain the anonymity you want - I think this would be best because the person you call might not know the answer to your question whereas an email can be forwarded unlimited times until it reaches someone who can answer your question. Good luck

I'm definitely going to do the anonymous email thing, but if any current JMP students happen to be reading this in the meantime, have you had to move away for clinical placements?
I’ve a friend at JMP who is going to Tamworth.
Smelly Boy, i'm so glad I took your advice and emailed UoN. Got a very quick response from them and they explained that UoN is linked with John Hunter, Gosford, Wyong and Maitland hospitals whereas UNE is linked with Armidale, Taree and Tamworth. If I go to UON, I would do clinical placements at the first 4 hospitals I mentioned. I could potentially go elsewhere but wouldn't be obliged to. Also, they will consider individuals' circumstances in making their final determination of where they spend their pracs. I mentioned that I'm a mum and that didn't seem to rule me out.

Hope this is the best place to ask, but historically when has the non-NSW-applicant interview round fallen for the JMP? I understand they're 'late January' though I'm planning a holiday with my partner, and am trying to get a bearing of whether that's late late Jan (25th-31st) or earlier.

The dates this year will likely be similar +/- 1 or 2 days.
