Med and Dent - 2018 Entry (Place Offers and Discussion)

Congratulations to those who got offers today! I got a second round offer from UAdel for Med! For those of you wondering, my ATAR was 98.9 and UMAT 84% so I must have been very borderline. So happy though - never cried out of happiness until today.

For data collection purposes, was the offer you received unbonded or bonded? :)

Huge congratulations to you and everyone else who got an offer for medicine/dentristry!!!! :D
 
Curtin rang up today and wanted to know if I was still intent on pursuing medicine as for some reason they didn't know if I had accepted my main round UWA offer (perhaps because UWA gave me an early offer?)

Course Type: Medicine
Offer Received: Yes
University: Curtin
UMAT: 187 (68/60/59; 95th %ile)
ATAR or GPA: 99.7
Special Considerations: Nil
Offer Type: Not sure
Other Information: Declined - someone else will be getting good news!

Curtin called because seeing your 99.7 they hoped you would decline UWA and join them instead.

I was really hopeful for a Med offer at UNSW.

So disappointed after such a long wait.

Second round UAC offers are on the 31st of January I believe. So you haven't missed out yet

I doubt it. I was told as I had requested unbonded, I will be skipped and an offer will be made to the next applicant on the list. So gutted as was so hopeful. I was told I wouldn't be disadvantaged as an interstate student but I don't understand this outcome.
