ATAR or GPA: 6.1875 (2 years FTE)

Other Information: Accepted and enrolled :) sorry for the late post, I received the UAC email at 2:45am on 11/1/19

Hi guys, sorry to bring about a question on my rejection at JMP as this postmortem will not bring life back but will put some perspectives in my mind to move on with my Med degree. The letter from UAC said the following:

Your qualification/s do not meet the minimum requirement for the following:

  • Pref 1 785000 B Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (Joint Medical Program) at Uni Newcastle/UNE 25 Feb 2019 (Course type: CSP)
Not sure what’s meant here as I honestly did not bomb out in the interview and gave a decent one. “Qualifications do not meet” is puzzling. Do they mean the interview performance? JMP considers 100% on interview as I hoped my Quals would definitely be suitable (ATAR 99.20 and UMAT 94%ile) for this course. Did any other candidate get similar letter or is it worth to get this statement deciphered either by UAC or UON? Not sure if my Gap Year had any issues with the decision/ selection... UAC is not flawless from previous readings in this forum. That was my only interview as I rejected others due to my Med degree overseas. Any thoughts or advice please on my predicament? Thanks.

Yeah it means you weren't competitive in the interview. UoN still has another round of offers but I believe they are exclusively for the second round of interviews, I could be wrong though. Anyway, hope you're feeling ok, there's always other years.

I tracked my application from UAC showing…Eligible – subject to being competitive
I didn’t receive any email from UAC nor JMP.

If my SATAC account is displaying no offers does that mean I didn't receive an offer this round? Or could I still receive one later today?

heya, keep an eye out. It doesn't mean you haven't received an offer yet as they will continue rolling out in waves til 5pm Adelaide time :D

Mine says: No offer has been made to you at this time. Does this mean I have missed out or yet to hear?
