Med and Dent - 2019 Entry (Offers)

I have a mate who deferred an offer for another Monash course. But they are hoping for a Monash med offer tomorrow. Anyone know if this is possible, given they already have a Monash offer?

Yes, provided that Monash med is higher on their preference list than the other course.

Sorry I'm confusing. The other Monash course is deferred from last year. It is not on the preference list for this year since they already have a deferred offer.

Yep, as above - they’re eligible for any course on their preference list as this is a different offer round (and in fact, a different offer year!).
 
Makes sense makes sense thanks a lot tleb and crow. We thought it could only be possible to have 1 offer from Monash, but glad to hear that's not the case.

It was at monash but it wasn't for medicine, it was for two different courses at the university, I highly doubt the fact that medicine is one of the courses would change anything. I've actually deferred another Usyd course last year and have an interview for dent at Usyd this year, so no doubt your friend shouldn't stress :)
 
Not sure if this the appropriate place for my question, mods please move if it isn’t.

It was briefly mentioned earlier on chatbox that Monash sends out SMS regarding the outcome of an individual’s application for Med. Can someone confirm this? Does this mean they inform individuals both about rejections and offers through SMS?

Comments: I did feel my interview at UAdel had not gone as well as the others. Congrats to those who got in :)

PS received an email from SATAC about 12.42 pm saying no offer in today's round.

For those waiting for offers currently, you will get an email if you are ineligible for any of your preferences from SATAC. Until you have received that, please hold out hope for the best!

Hey sorry if this is a dumb question but I thought JCU offers came out tomorrow (16th) - does this mean that other rural offers are out today as well? - Asking for a friend who is currently waiting

No worries! Not a dumb question at all. I thought they did also but as I am a current JCU student and I logged onto my estudent account. I had my offer sitting there (it isn't on QTAC yet). Guessing the university released it earlier, not sure why!
