They say Cs get degrees!
My advice would be not to drink if you really really want it. Alcohol really does cause you to lose motivation.

Oh a barn theme! Gives me images of hay, hillbillies, country music, and a hoedown XD
Thats only for Med students though right? When do '09 freshers find out what our Oweek theme is? Apparently this year was the only year without a theme huh?

Not sure if you actually find out before going there. This year I just turned up at my college and there was an O-week pack in my room, and it looked highly uninteresting so I just forgot about it.

Now I'm confused. The ball is under day one which is "survive in the jungle", but the description for the ball is "Come dressed in your best pirate gears (or wench gears)." Hum.

I think we have a Psychiatrist in the making :P
I reality booze I think is a big problem, especially in the medical field - Docs have some of the highest rates of alcoholism, depression and suicide. And that triad goes together like birds of a feather.

I've dealt with a GP who was likely a C's get degree's Doc. He's pretty hopeless. When I've had reason to call him up, which was almost every script, he's just agreed with me before I've even discussed the prescribing issue. Very worrisome :( . At least he listened, the worst Doc you can be is one who doesn't listen.

Last year the theme was pirates of the med'iteranean. I think they've been recycling documents without double checking. There are a few errors in all the paperwork. The booklet contents page refers to 2008 while the actual sections refer to 2009 etc...

Yes, I'm so keen I've read everything start to finish :p

I'm pretty sure it's jungle theme. I'd get in touch with Martha Dewey ASAP if you can't make it by the 11th!
And here I was thinking there would be Jack Sparrows...ah well I'm not even going but the thought alone was enough:cool:.
Hmm George of the Jungle anyone :D Id even suggest a younger Indiana Jones.

Sure Sure, I bet your fave song is Star Trekkin..oh dear cant get it out of my head now blah.

Well pretty low grade trekkie.

Space, the final frontier... oooo-weeeeee-ooooo....

I used to watch reruns of the original star trek when I was little and staying at my grandmothers. Ah those were the days down in the Waikato. That was in the late eighties... sheesh. Most of you on here weren't even born .

Hey guys..

Just thought I'd venture into the NZ thread and say congrats to everyone who got a med offer!
