Toaster:
Yeah it would be, maybe I'll be changing mine in a year or two or .....

Omg WTF a BARN DANCE at O-week?! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! This is gonna be SO freaking emberassing.

OK.. what is a barn dance all I can think of is checkered shirts, pigtails and cotton-eyed joe blasting  (shudders).

wow so I guess that mean Arutha, Skyglow and Toaster will be in 2nd together...Awesome.

Come on, skyglow, it'll be fun! I'm not so sure about the med stein though. That sounds like it'll be a huge ****-up.

In my experience (of which I have four years doing Pharmacy at Auckland), med students in general don't do 'a few quiet ones'. All the med balls up here were giant ****-ups. Especially the one on Waiheke Island where the booze was literally piled to the ceiling in the middle of a vinyard. That was truely a messy night.
Of course I'm older and wiser nowadays ;)

I'm starting to think about my animal costume already... Mmmmm... giant snake.

It's a bit ironic seeing how med students are bombarded by information about how bad alcohol is for you.

Decisions decisions...it's not like I exactly have an animal costume lying around the place :( There is much to be done T_T

McNerdy I see that age has its advantages...just as well drinking doesnt appeal to me...tried beer once and gagged:eek:. Hopefully my sensible approach to uni life will have it's advantages...(like im hoping some of my competition is stupid enough to get plastered every weekend or depleting their brain cells one way or another)...now I just sound plain mean.

So is the ball dressing up jungle-style? If so I'm going to be a kitty...meow~! Wrap yourself around a rod, McNerdy XD
lol

I'm going to be presumptious and guess you're a girl :p . I have a feeling there will be a lot of kitties going to the ball given you can buy the cat ears from any two dollar shop and girls just like being kitties (it's something to do with having two X chromosomes).
There was a guy who was a year ahead of me doing med in Auckland who came as a camel to one ball using a coat rack pulled behind him to support the two man costume. The next year he came as a giant sperm... brilliant.

Oh a barn theme! Gives me images of hay, hillbillies, country music, and a hoedown XD
Thats only for Med students though right? When do '09 freshers find out what our Oweek theme is? Apparently this year was the only year without a theme huh?

There are plenty of exceptions to the rule ;)
My rule is: if you feel guilty going out to party, then you probably shouldn't. Of course if you do then a few drinks will also resolve that... so I've defeated my own argument. Thus proving you should never argue with a drunk.
