It made more sense to go over papers under NCEA of course, in case you discovered a mistake in the marking (compare this to Otago where even if you find a blatant error they won't reconsider).

Still I find some value in going over the papers, to understand more about how they are marked, and to refine exam technique.

Fair enough. Although I seem to trust my ability to adapt to the exam on the day but I can see the idea behind it.

I'm happy to be done with this now since I'm not fighting to nail every single mark any more.

True, does the Auckland medical school have the traditional marking system (A+ etc) or does it have one like Otago's?

Traditional, and their tests are freakin hard, not to mention the insane amount of material they have to learn. I do not envy them lol.

aucklands ranked the fifth best place to live in the world. dont see christchurch up there.

Oh no, not this again. *sigh*

Just remember that different people have different perspectives. South Islanders just don't tend to like Auckland! Besides, the judges that rank Auckland highly come from big cities themselves. They wouldn't even consider a place like Christchurch...

The prospect of taking more than 15 minutes to drive anywhere is a big turnoff for me when it comes to Auckland (along with many other factors), but meh...

Also the fact that the judges were probably rich too. The flatting up in Auckland is freaking expensive from what my mates tell me. Ridiculous compared to Dunedin.

Yeah this was what I meant, not that I thought Otagos course was better. The price of accommodation and getting around is what put me off. Plus the fact I would have to fly home rather than drive, and I can take way more stuff in the car than you can on a plane. And I just don't like Auckland city itself............but that's a story for another day

Couldn't agree with you more SASOL. Except I still have to fly home whereas I can drive from Auckland. Dunedin is way more fun though IMHO. (y)

Yeah it's such an individual thing. Personally, I think Otago is a fantastic place to study, and I would have had to take an hour long bus ride each way to get to Auckland uni from home. Don't think I'd want to actually live in Otago though.

Oh yeah Dunedin is a lot more fun, more laid back and more student friendly (obviously). Plus in Auckland even the guys have to dress quite smartly for town, whereas in Dunners a T shirt, rugby shorts and jandals get you into a bar lol. Glad Im not a female haha. And I guess flatting culture will make anything seem like luxury when I'm done with it:lol:

Yeah I dont want to live in Dunedin once I finish uni, in fact I don't know if I want to stay there for the clinical years

I also agree with this.

Alot of agreeals. We are kinda biased aren't we?

Don't worry, you wont be turned away. As long as you have UE you will be in. You just need to do course approval now(yy)

Yeah and make sure that you arrive on time. :lols:

...and now HEAL192 have removed the 2009 exam from the website, labelling it as embargoed.

I'm glad I printed out a copy when I did. Should've saved a pdf as well...

In this case I'm loving the incompetance. :D

Seriously HEAL are shocking! They dont know what they are doing.

You could sell copies of that exam greenglacier haha. Is the pre-released question in it? If so maybe thats why they removed it
