Oh man, save your wall for drawings of the citric acid cycle and other metabolic pathways you're gonna hate

Oh man, I still remember every step of the CAC, and why they occured even lol....sad sad sad. To be honest, I didnt mind the pathways that much, I used to write them in the mist on the shower door haha

Hey Imad, did you end up accepting Pharmacy? =)

Yeah man, it was only an exta year then biomed like I said, and also better secure a degree with good job prospects especially in these times

BUT I WANTED MED SO BAAAD, I almost cried when I read greenglacier adn SASOL celebrating their successes here, I wanted to be part of the fun..lol

He was my favourite lecturer. In fact I would go the length to say do the course just for him, as he was just so damn funny in a fresh way. He seemed to hate alot of things, and remember the time he said he was happy his older brother's friend died? That was amazingly funny

Yeah I definately remember that story, and many more (like the time he asked the lecture theatre "so, who here smokes cannabis?", then backed it up with "come on, one of you must, don't be ashamed, I won't dob you in").

Awesome lecturer. Someone's bound to eventually complain and get him removed, but I hope that day is still a while a way yet.

I however kept on listening to the podcasts, I tried sticking stuff on the walls in sem 1 but that didnt work.

But it backfired. I had Craig Marshells voice constantly ringing in my head. UGH!

Bro, my jaw was on the ground when I heard you didn't make it! 94 average in first sem and 83 in UMAT. =(

Like I told a girl sometime during the year, even if it took an entire life of studying, as long as I save a person's life (eg. in surgery) it would all have been worth it.

Of course I'm going for postgrad.

Wow you didnt get in with those awesome marks??!! Thats crazy! Man I swear some of my mates who got in (via general entry) would have had worse scores, though duno about their UMATS....that makes the difference I guess. Theres a whole other thread to rant about that though:lol: Swear their GPAs would not have been A+ though

I hope whoever created the UMAT gets eaten by a pack of savage wolves. </rant>

With that mentality you will make it bro! Silly question huh. Lots of people take the easy option and give up, but the people who keep at it are worth getting a 2nd chance. No doubt I'll see you in the hospital at some stage mate(yy)

So do I, so do I. Wonder if the computer company Acer suffers from poor sales due to the name association with UMAT? Haha even though they are completely unrelated:lol:

You won't be that far behind! I still have to pass 2nd year lol, let alone become a consultant:lols:

I kept hearing how Otago's second year is ridiculously cruisy compared to second year med in other uni's, so I guess have fun this year!

edit: capital letters eh? Ok I'm gonna make up MICROSOFT and see if they hold me up for copyright lol
