The average for that test was particularly bad in 2008, and it was worth 30%. They had to scale up the final CELS marks by 5%.

They made CELS easier last year (well at least they made the mid-semester easier - the final felt about the same difficulty as 2008), so there was no scaling. I suspect that the test this year will be closer in difficulty to the 2009 test (which was worth 20% and had an average of 64%) than the 2008 test, so I wouldn't panic too much about that 57% average.

Lol I guess the name WINE and cheese is just a disguise when really it will be just like every other drunken night. Am I right? Or is it a nice mature atmosphere where everyone drinks in moderation?

Starts out pretty civilized ... I think you can work out what happens next.

Yeah, it started out a high class event to eat cheese and drink wine. Then the DJ turned up.

2008? That was my year. It was ridiculously hard. Especially if you didn't read the textbook. Man. I hated it.

lol a sophisticated bunch of high class med students end up drunk Im guessing

We are great advocates of drinking in moderation.

Thanks for the explanation on the cels feedback, skyglow put it up sometime a while ago and I was reading it and thinking; shit son!

Just mix up your study methods when it gets boring lol

So true. Like when studying with water gets boring, move to juice. Then to be more adventurous move to beer. :lols:

Or instead of refill use paper towels.

Lol Im currently drinking beer while studying behavioural med. Hmm wonder what the stimulus was that caused me to behave this way....wait I know, its because this module is so frickin boring.

I sense that you are bored. I would drink beer but it's too cold to use my hands.

Glove time?

In other news, an excellent replacement for tape (we didn't have any) when doing scrumpy hands is a decent scarf- it keeps your hand warm and insulates the scrumpy!

Does the scrumpy need insulating? it should stay cold cos we are in Dunedin! Thinking we will turn the fridge off this term and put everything outside

Gloves are on.

Dunedin is cold.

You still haven't replied to my PM SASOL :P

It probably didn't need insulating, but I was in science mode when macguyver'ing up possible replacements for tape.
