btw am I correct in assuming the dates are all relatively the same every year for every exam? for HSFY at least?
That may or may not be a good assumption, I am currently looking for evidence for/against this in the monster thread.

EDIT:
Okay it would appear that the last two years followed the following schedule:
HUBS - Friday Week 1
BIOC - Wednesday Week 2
HEAL - Friday Week 2

As such I am inclined to believe that this year's HUBS will be on the 21st of October, BIOC on the 26th, and HEAL on the 28th... This is, at best, an educated guess. Could not find evidence for 2009 but in 2010 the MAOR exam was Tuesday Week 3 (early November), so if you want to play it safe and would like a few days between exam and holiday, I would, given the information I have here, recommend booking for sometime after the university's general exam period, ie some time soon after 12th of November, as I cannot ascertain the times of 8th paper exams at this point.

I don't mean to sound like a d**k, but is it really imperative that you leave for your holiday asap after exams? Because if it isn't, booking for after exam period, just in case, would probably be a safer bet.

cathay is right wrt HUBS, HEAL, and BIOC. The last two years BSNS was before the HEAL exam (but before that it used to be a week afterwards). Last year MAOR was 3-4 days after HEAL, and the year before it was between BIOC and HEAL. You can be fairly confident (but not certain!) that the 3 HSFY exams will be when cathay says. You can't predict the 8th paper exams.

Play it safe and don't book anything until the 14th - the university is not sympathetic to people who book holidays during the exam period and then find a clash when the timetable comes out.

So it would be safe to say all exams for HSFY (including 8th papers) are done by 5th November?
Uhhhh, I personally don't think it's safe to say that until we get the actual timetable in mid-August... But GG might have a better-informed perspective.

Nothing is safe to say. It's very likely that the 3 core HSFY exams will be done by the 5th of November, and if you do BSNS, MAOR, or PSYC, it's more likely than not that they'll be done by the 5th. However, there are no guarantees, and if you book flights for the 5th only to have an exam scheduled on the 6th, the university will not be sympathetic.

And the airline will only be sympathetic after you pay them a lot of money :P

The last "actual" health sci paper was Epi on Friday the 29th but the Maori paper was the week after that (possibly the Wednesday?). I didn't take that one so not too sure, but it was definitely the week after epi. Psyc was ages before the HSFY exams started

awkward, I didn't even see all of the other replies...

I'm hearing from people that results could be out as soon as tomorrow?? Oh my god am I nervous or what?
Because I know I haven't done amazingly or nearly as well as I could...
This kind of anxiety cannot be good for us ae? :p

i haven't heard a thing, but apparently its usually on the 30th or the 1st.

Just hold on for another couple of days. Results could be out by tomorrow, but that would be record speed (and hence unlikely). Realistically, the best thing is to hold off checking PIMS until Thursday afternoon.

Omg, so glad results are finally out

Alright guys, that's enough of that. Only I get to wind up health scis - you have to wait until next year. That's the way the game works.
