Oh god I'm slow haha. I have an abacus somewhere at home but I thought it would be some calculator or something under the name "abacus"

SMC sent me a community services application card in the mail. I know that it allows people to pay less on prescriptions and some health services. Does anyone here actually have one? I think that everyone who goes to uni who dont do work part time or otherwise are automatically eligable for a card, but have you ever used it, have you had an "OMG! Thank goodness I got a comm card," moment?

thanks :)

Yeah I've got one. Saved me 15 bucks at a walk-in clinic I went to. No harm in asking whenever you're spending money on a health service.

It was a walk-in clinic in Auckland for like anyone. The student-health down at Otago is like 10 bucks per consultation for students.

Doctor is pretty crappy at the student clinic imo. It's better to pay a bit extra cash for a GP elsewhere.

hmmm i too got mine a while ago. Thats wierd

It's something to do with my application route methinks, or the confusion they had with a change in name since 2000, when I did a distance paper with Otago. Thought I had corrected my information with admissions and with Martha though.
Well they said I was accepted, and I replied to take the offer, and they responded to acknowledge that, and I got the confirmation email in Dec, and I sent my orientation cheques, and I enrolled before 10 Dec (before time), so the problem is definately their end and not mine.

If you want med badly enough, then something as minor as the hall you live in won't get in your way :D

You can come study with me at Knox.. lol they're right next to eachother. Do any of you know much about the dinners at Knox? I read the college booklet and I got the impression that it's formal dinner every night except saturdays.

Sorted. Called them up and got them manually update their system, my form is being posted tomorrow. Why their system isn't updated in real time I do not know...
