I thought about going to the library, but the study rooms, they have to bee booked, don't they? and they get really busy during exam time, and also can use them for only two hours? Errrrr help!
Those rooms are officially Discussion Rooms, and are designed so that you can take a group of people for a study session that involves discussions. They're not intended to be booked by people who just want extra quiet studying. (EDIT: But as GG said, you can if you want.) It's impractical and/or against the rules (if you book >2 hours) to try and book out discussion rooms all the time just to study by yourself.
I would've thought I'm easily distracted, but it turns out that the first floor of the science library, which is not even officially a quiet study area, tends to be quiet enough for me. Just give the common areas of the libraries a go first, before you seek to arrange for being alone. Generally the libraries are quiet enough (though this depends on the time of the year, the time of the day, and which floor of which library.) Also, the 3rd floor of the science library is designated to be a quiet study area, so if other places are deemed not quiet enough you can give that a try.
Also, if your room has space for two people to study at the same time, I would advise at least giving simultaneous studying a go before you give up.
If you really can't stand having anyone near you while you study, that could become problematic, because towards exam time, even in the library you're bound to have people next to you, and they may or may not be very quiet.
PS: Depending on the college, you could be wrong to think you'll be guaranteed silence if you're studying in your own room, too.
