Hey Pete, can we do another session 2moro?

I found today's one extremely useful. We'll do a 2hr session of purely questions and answers, focussing on te hardest and most obscure topics.

Keen?

I have a pretty big day of study planned for tommorow. But we could do the same for cels in the weekend sometime? on saturday?

How did everyone find HUBS?

SUnday 7-9 sounds okay.

HUBS was easy for the most part

The anti venom question caught me out - 4 marks on a process that we weren't even taught... I thought that was a bit unfair

Also some MCQs were a bit dodgy - namely the 'attenuation' question. Never heard of 'formaldehyde' in my life, let alone the HUBS course. Genetic manipulation was also one of the options for that question. SInce when did we do anything related to genes in HUBS?! (Apart from mechanism of lipid soluble hormones and gene arrangement in B cell receptors), we did NOTHING on gene manipulation.

Essay questions were a DREAM - we were so freaking lucky to get the synaptic transmission and insulin questions.

I think i got the first part of the bone question wrong (site of fracture), but everything else seemed correct.

Let's not discuss answers though lol. I'm sure we all did just fine ;P

Hows everyone going for cels?

Hey pete, have you booked a room at sci lib 7pm? If so, which one. I'm here right now and will be until 11pm

EDIT: its not worth it, we'll start doing the sessions more frequently next semester - like weekly or fornightly.

Good luck with CELS everyone!! :)

Did everyone have a good cells test?
Its great with the snow today except its a distraction from chem study haha

I was just wondering if anyone knew which papers were scaled last year and by how much?
I know cells was scaled (atleast) 5% but were chem and physics too? Doubting HUBS was

Lol if the snow keeps up, aquinas people are gonna have a problem getting to exams...

Don't think either chem or physics were. HUBS definitely wasn't. I have a suspicion that HEAL was scaled up but I wouldn't know for sure.

I can't believe how badly that CELS exam went. I was expecting it to be hard, and it was, but man....

I'm expecting an A- for this one

Ah well, 8th paper ftw >.< ...

Most ppl in Aquinas has lost their motivation to study after that exam XD

Hows everyone's CHEM study going? I'm expecting this one to be harder than CELS *gulp*

Good luck for PHSI guys. You're on the home stretch haha. Enjoy yourselves after the exams. Get some sleep in too. You'll need it for second semester if you want to do well in HEAL and BIOC.
