Hi all,

Sat the test this morning and got 3270 with the following subtest scores - pretty happy considering big improvement from 2800 last year:
VR: 720
DM: 780
QR: 900
AR: 870
Total: 3270
I'm a gap year student from Qld. Got an ATAR of 99.75. Just wondering where I'd be competitive (including non-UCAT unis) if applying to all unis. Thanks!
How did you find the difficulty of the actual thing compared to mocks? Any surprises? Cheers

Was there a SJT threshold? Do you know based off of last years stats what band should be minimum
SJT is not mentioned on WSU website but I remember seeing in a video last year a WSU official said it would be considered.

From there it's our uneducated guess based on this case. Last year the MSO-formula cutoff for GWS was around 721, this GWS student with 745 formula (3090 / 95%ile) didn't get an invite. We guess it was due to 476 SJT

You should get a place offer from USC, and possibly Griffith with a bit of luck.
Also an interview everywhere except: UQ no gap year, maybe JCU application dependent, borderline for WSU/Monash due to their pro in-state policies.

I'd say you have better than 50/50 chance for a place offer from UNSW, UWA, Curtin, Monash (if get interview) . Only 25-35% chance for JMP, WSU, Adelaide.

Hi, 4th time sitter here! Here are my results, all the way from 2019:

2019202020212022

DM560650650780
QR710870740880
AR680680860710
Total2500278029203090
SJT556588601653

I was hoping for this year's mark to be higher, but overall I'm very happy with my improvement over the past few years! I'm just annoyed with AR, thought I would get the same as last year!

I would say the major difference between this year and the last few years has been the amount of effort I've been putting into UCAT. I definitely reviewed my exams much more diligently this year compared to previous years. I'm just hoping I make it past the interview cut-off for WSU and Newcastle, though you never know what happens.

Good luck to all those yet to do their exams, and congrats to everyone who completed their exams in the past few days!

Edit: sheesh, keep finding mistakes on this post! My post-exam brain is not doing well 😫

760VR/3240 you should definitely get JMP & WSU interviews (unless your SJT score is below WSU's unknown threshold).

Unfortunately zero chance for UNSW, place offers have been 99.50+. Also zero Monash chance if you're non-Vic.
thank you for the info, much appreciated!

Hey guys, sat the UCAT this morning and got my score which was 3170. I am a 2nd year med sci student with a wam around 78, I was wondering what my chances for either med or dentistry are?

Love that upward trend. You’ve clearly been putting in the work.

I don't know what your GPA is from 78 WAM. If 6.5+ for the 99 hurdle you're in a good position for UQ Dent offer, last year lowest posted was 3160.

Very likely you will get an interview from JMP, and UNSW if your ATAR was 96+ (otherwise not eligible). Can't predict WSU without your state & UCAT sections scores.

The UCAT subsection scores were:
VR- 700
DM-750
QR-850
AR-870
Live in NSW in the GWS region

A1 adds: In that case it's also very likely you'll get a GWS interview, unless your SJT is abnormally low (please don't ask how low is low, we don't know). Your offer chance is the standard 25% (1 place per 4 interviewees) for JMP, 33% WSU, UNSW hard to say without knowing GPA but probably 20-30%. Best to start prepping thoroughly for interview.

Quite frustrated my VR and DM went backwards but overall over the moon I get another shot at this. Fingers crossed this year I pass the interview.
Great job! If you don't mind me asking, how did you find the difficulty in comparison to mocks?

How long after sitting are results made available? My wife is sitting this morning. Want to plan a dinner either tonight or tomorrow night.
for me 30 mins this year and last year!
Great job! If you don't mind me asking, how did you find the difficulty in comparison to mocks?
Honestly I don't really remember how difficult I found the mocks anymore. I could make a graph of how I went in my mocks and exam?

DM: 610 (screwed me up rip was averaging 750 in the mocks)
QR: 810 (bruh expected improvement over mock average)
