I'm done for.... I have my UCAT exam tomorrow at 10 am and tonight I was preparing to pack my ID. I put my student ID in my bag and checked the email to see what else I have to bring, only to find student IDs are not eligible and must be passport, drivers licence, keypass, etc. I don't drive so I don't even have a Learners Permit, and my passport expired last year. Keypasses take 10 business days to be delivered and I booked my exam for tomorrow (last day of UCAT).
I'm currently collecting as much evidence as I can (passport, student id, school photos, birth cert, blue book, etc.) but I don't have a good feeling about this. What should I do

Since all three of you have very similar results, I decided to bulk reply.

We can't really tell for now because percentiles haven't been released, but based on previous years results I would suggest for all of you to apply to WSU (JPM) and Newcastle (JMP). gudgie has a better chance for WSU because they have a pretty good VR score and is GWS. Last year's minimum score for JMP was 3040, but obviously this can change this year. However, all of you are at or above that threshold, so fingers crossed!

I'm not too certain about UNSW, but for gudgie Endlus who are applying for SCATS, if successful, it will definitely help your chances in terms of academic rank. Reminder that you need a 96+ ATAR to qualify (unless you're going to complete your degree by the end of the year). Regardless, I would still apply. For Sookie, your ATAR wouldn't be enough for UNSW, but if your GPA is higher than it can be used instead.

Finally, all of you should apply to JCU, since it is a uni that doesn't consider UCAT and basically everyone can apply. Consider Bond Uni if you can afford that.

Just wondering, does non-standard apply to people who have taken a gap year or have not commenced studies (i.e. havent finished a semester or started one but is enrolled)?

If you are enrolled past a semester's census date then (whether you have attended the course) the uni will (1) charge you HECS fees and (2) set up an academic record. This record makes you a non-standard applicant.

If you take a gap year or have enrolled then withdrawn before census date you're still a school leaver, except not eligible for the UQ group of unis as they don't accept gap year.

For anyone who is going to ask advice:

As LMG! has stated before, medstudentsonline can only really give B-tier advice atm and it's quite uncertain because med school applications and thresholds change quite often and it's very unpredictable. I'm sorry if we can't provide the certainty that you desire, but that's just the volatile nature of med entrance.

It would be better once UCAT percentiles are released since we can make more accurate predictions. As of now, your raw scores and our predictions don't mean much if the percentiles start shifting to the left or right, so please just be patient until then and we can provide some more certainty.

I haven't checked your WSU-formula score but looks like 790VR/3000 is definitely enough for a GWS interview.
But note that you can only rely on the 96.45 ATAR until you graduate. After you've completed a degree it's GPA only.

I had a pretty interesting run in with the UCAT having technical issues on both of my sittings (I was offered a resit after the first one and resat today).

What was your tech issue that allowed you to do a resit? I'm wondering as I also had a tech issue

It was a screen error where the question section of the test wasn't displayed on the screen. My exam timer wasn't stopped and once Pearson and the UCAT office reviewed it they said I'd lost a significant amount of time and offered me the resit. Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to get one as they told me the only appointment left was today because it was the last day of testing.

I just realised everything I said was what A1 said, I just completely misread their comment. Apologies for that and thank you for clarifying!!

A1 adds: Since you said you almost didn't sit UCAT, you could possibly get a JMP interview too if GPA is 4.8+ and JMP's cutoff drops a little from 3040 to 3000. It's a free entry to add into the UAC application so why not.

If you're eligible for adjustments, your entry score will be converted to a selection rank. Any adjustments will be added to this rank. Each adjustment is equivalent to 1 rank. Quoted from the UQ website, I think it just adds 1 point to your atar per adjustment factor

Bruh both UCAT scores are absolutely astounding! You shouldn't have any problem applying as long as your academic grades are really high. Try and find a way to convert NCEA to an ATAR-equivalent. The minimum ATAR-equivalent should be 99.50 to receive an interview. Good luck!!

Will someone who redoes yr 12 (redo some of the vce subjects) qualify for UQ application .
