I got a ucat of 2190 which I'm aware is very very low. I haven't got my atar yet but am expecting around 95. Is there any point in me even applying to undergrad med?
Unfortunately as you thought 2190 won't be enough for any school requiring UCAT. One faint hope is non-UCAT JCU.

Hi,
NZ citizen on NCEA 3 Level this year (equivalent to year 12 in AU). Not sure about the ATAR yet (as need to sit for the exam end of the year). Hope to find out chances of getting an interview at any AU universities for Med or Density courses as direct entry. Thanks.

Verbal Reasoning 640
Decision Making 750
Quantitative Reasoning 800
Abstract Reasoning 690

Total Score 2880

Situational Judgement 636

Unfortunately 2880 is unlikely enough for any Med schools other than non-UCAT JCU.
I don't know enough about the Dent schools, hope someone else will help.

Hey guys I was wondering what my chances were for med this year lol.
I'm GWS with total ucat score of 3000 and SJ: 477

VR: 620
DM: 730
QR: 750
AR: 900

I'm mainly aiming for wsu cos I think my chances are low. I'm also applying thru the non-std pathway atm.
Thank you :)

What are the chances for getting into undergrad if I have UCAT 3030, ATAR 98-99, RA2 applying to nsw unis?
UCAT 3030 ATAR 98-99 are quite high for RA2 rural applicants. But for NSW unis they're useful only for UNSW, you have better than 50/50 chances getting a UNSW offer.

For WSU & JMP they will certainly help get an interview but they don't count much (or any) into the final ranking. Offers being largely based on the interview you have the standard 25-35% chances.

So overall around a 80% of getting into med? What's the best way to prepare for interviews in your opinion? Thanks so much for the help I really appreciate it 🙏🙏🙏

The chances are not cumulative so unfortunately don't add up to 80%.

In throwing a dice the more times we throw the more chances we get a particular number. With interviews, UNSW 50/50 means (without knowing your interview skills) there's 50% chance of above-median interview score, which then combines with your high ATAR/UCAT to make the offer cutoff.

But if you fail UNSW with a below-median interview, it doesn't contribute anything to raising your WSU/JMP interviews to top third there for their offer.

You can find interview prep discussions in the MSO Interviews sub-forum, all the best.

With a 732 score for WSU (GWS) and an overall score of 3160..... is it likely i'll get JMP and WSU interviews (Sos if this sounds repetitive just gauging my interview prep to be tailored to specific unis)....

These scores last year would get JMP and GWS last year interviews. At this stage they look very promising but we can't say for sure what's happening this year.

Local applicant to University of Adelaide with 2840 UCAT,
Does anyone know the extent of which local applicants get favoured for UCAT % for interview offers there? I’ve heard stories of 2700s getting interviews in recent years at UoA, but unsure if under local/rural.
Also if it matters I’m a school leaver under UES for being at a disadvantaged school.

Have you looked at the collated data threads from last year and the year before?

Hey everybody.. the waiting for the percentile results is making me so nervous. Any idea when they will release the results? Thank you very much.

I have a UCAT score of 2660... overall, is there any point applying to ADL Dent or any other dental schools? Not rural etc.
Non-school leaver with GPA 6.5 :)
