You should get UNSW interview (50-60% offer chance) and JMP (25-35% chance). WSU yes if you're GWS, otherwise borderline for NSW, not enough for non-NSW.

Can also apply to JCU. If you're currently in a gap year : Griffith/USC, Adelaide, UWA, Curtin, and Monash (UCAT is borderline but worth a try).

Btw you didn't apply for Griffith/USC last year with your 99.85?
Thank you! I'm GWS, but currently doing a degree at UNSW right now so I'm not in a gap year, applying non-standard entry only.
For Griffith/USC it was a mistake on my part not applying for interstate last year :(

Hello im a Nsw gap year student with a 98.7 ATAR and also have EAS in all state i believe.
My ucat was
VR:730
DM:850
QR:820
AR:880
total: 3280

what are my chances with UQ DENT aswell as the medicine degrees in SA and WA?
If you get SATAC UES to boost ATAR to 99.95 you should get a Flinders place offer.
Plus interviews at UNSW, WSU, JMP, Adelaide, possibly Monash & UWA if they give EAS.

UQ Dent i'm not sure, your 98.7 might not pass the Rank 99 hurdle to be considered despite your high UCAT.

Thanks so much for the information!
Am i not applicable for any adjustment points from EAS or subject bonuses for UQ?

then again, the median's risen by 20 too
Where on earth do you guys keep digging up extra marks from, year after year! 🤣

so maybe an increase by about 20 across the board, idk?
Interesting stats (I have speculatively added in 3000 for 2023 90%ile).

The 50%ile section scores have been steady.
The overall 50%ile was flat too except for the +20 this year.

Yet the 90%ile has steadily increased each year since 2020. The top 10percent have got better while bottom 90percent got worse?

Hey all,

Graduated with Honours last year from Bachelors degree. Have applied for the JMP but not sure where else accepts UCAT for uni Graduates.

Just wondering if I have missed any Universities in NSW that I should apply for.

UCAT scores:
VR: 880
DM: 830
QR: 880
AR: 630 (choked this - content removed - but fluked the above so guess it all evens out :D )
Total: 3220

SJ: 677

You should get UNSW & JMP interviews. WSU yes if GWS, borderline for non-GWS NSW. JCU possible.

Much dependent on your Bachelor's GPA. You'll get JMP interview regardless.

WSU interview if GPA is above the hurdle (5.5 iirc).
UNSW eligible if ATAR was 96+ and 70+ WAM.

You can also try JCU and Curtin.

Thanks A1!

Think GPA comes out at just a smidge above 6.9. Will look into the other options too.

Do you know if UNSW use WAM / ATAR as a threshhold or ranking system? Do they consider both or only the better of the two?

Thanks a heap :)

I wonder if the median score increase this year will impact rural cut-offs even more than last.
JMP rural cut-off increased a lot last year, compared to previous years. I hope it doesn't happen again! 🤞

Note that apart from GPA/WAM you also need ATAR 96+ to be eligible for UNSW.

Then they use 'best of' between the two and it's competitive rather than a threshold hurdle - (ATAR or GPA) Selection Rank + UCAT combo for interview selection, then + Interview score for offer ranking.

In your case 6.9 + 3220 will definitely get a UNSW interview, with up to 60-70% offer chance. Good luck.

Hi All,

Just wondering what are my chances of interview. ATAR 99.8 and UCAT 3250 (VR 720). Im on a gap year.

Cheers

You should get several interviews apart from non-predictable JCU, VR-dependent WSU, no-gap UQ/CQU.
Don't forget to apply to UWA & Curtin.

Offer chances UNSW/Monash/UWA 60-70%, the rest Adelaide JMP Curtin WSU (if invited) around 25-40%.

(Note an example an MSO member on gap year with 99.7 & 97%ile got both UWA & Curtin place offers yet no offer after UNSW interview twice).

Hi,
Was wondering if anyone knew what the UCAT cutoff was for first round of offers for UQ Dent?? I’ve seen somewhere someone got 3633 as a top up offer (4th round maybe??) but would love to know if anyone knows what the first round could’ve been??

Hi All,

I got a ucat of 2190 which I'm aware is very very low. I haven't got my atar yet but am expecting around 95. Is there any point in me even applying to undergrad med?
