I did think about whether JCU was worth it. Depends what else you'd do with the pref slot. In the past there were occasionally a few non-rural 97-98 who got JCU interviews.

By xxQ i meant one of CQU Bundaberg / CQU Rockhampton / USQ.

Let's do this - Check that (1) you can add UQ Dent to the prefs late in December, and (2) CQU-B / CQU-R / USQ hold their interviews on different dates, you can try
UQ Med unbonded/bonded + JCU Med + CQU-B unbonded + CQU-R bonded + USQ bonded (something like that).

Then by December if you don't get a JCU invite, remove it to add in UQ Dent.
But note this won't work if the xxQs hold interviews on the same date.
I looked at the interviews. For USQ the interviews are most likely going to be around the 25th of November. For CQU, I could not find any dates but it says that these interviews will be conducted online. If I get the interviews, even if its on the same day but at a different time it should still be fine then right, because it's online? Also for UQ where can I find this information, should I give them a call?

Hi guys, hoping I could get some input on the chances of getting into UNSW, WSU or JMP for med. I'm a 2022 graduate (99.85 atar) and my ucat this year is 3120 (by the WSU formula it is 770.2). Wanting some suggestions on which other unis I could consider applying to as well. Thanks!
You should get UNSW interview (50-60% offer chance) and JMP (25-35% chance). WSU yes if you're GWS, otherwise borderline for NSW, not enough for non-NSW.

Can also apply to JCU. If you're currently in a gap year : Griffith/USC, Adelaide, UWA, Curtin, and Monash (UCAT is borderline but worth a try).

Btw you didn't apply for Griffith/USC last year with your 99.85?

Am I guaranteed UTAS with 98.25 RA3 + 3100 ucat?
If you’ve done the pre-requisites + you’re Tasmanian, I’d say you’re highly likely (as close to guaranteed as I’m ever prepared to state!). If you’re interstate, I’d say very probably but there are no guarantees in medicine and UTAS aren’t known to have the most transparent offer system and can switch things up year to year.

Sweet, thanks. I saw someone tossing around percentages regarding offers. Was wondering with 98.25 + 3100 as RA3 what % chance estimate of an offer (BMP or above) anyone could throw out for monash/unsw/uadel? I know I've asked before but seeing that quantified as a percent chance would really give some comfort

Rural interviewees have very wide ranges of ATAR & UCAT it's difficult to narrow down the guessing. Best I can say is you have better than 50/50 chances at these schools.

Okay, thanks. I've also heard that Curtin doesn't consider interstate rurals as 'rural'. Assuming that this info is correct, is this true for UWA as well?

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what my chances are for getting interview offers from UNSW, WSU, JMP, or UADEL for med. Graduated last year NSW with a 99.4 atar and my ucat this year is 3310 (WSU formula = 805). I'm not eligible for EAS/special considerations. Thank you!

99.4 is a little iffy for UNSW.
You should get interviews from all three WSU JMP Adelaide. Offer chances around 25-35% at each.

Hey everyone
I recently did the ucat and my marks are vr: 610 dm: 680 qr: 730 & ar: 860.
My estimated atar is 95+.
I am willing to apply to any med schools :) if you have any recommendations for me plz let me know.
Thank you.

Hey guys,
My UCAT marks are VR: 760, DM: 780, QR: 800, AR: 860 and SJT: 694. I'm a non-school leaver and was wondering what my chances would be for Dent at CSU, Ade, Griffith, La Trobe and UQ and Med at WSU/CSU and JMP. Additionally, are there any other unis accepting non-standards (except for UNSW, JCU and Bond)?
Thank you! :)

Unfortunately I don't see any realistic options.
It's a long shot but you can try JCU, USQ, CQU Bundaberg, CQU Rockhampton.

Nonstandard Med are the three NSW schools, JCU & Bond (plus Curtin for Curtin students).

You should get JMP interview (25-35% offer chance). WSU if GWS or NSW, your UCAT doesn't look enough for non-NSW.

Cheers, thank you! I'm not a GWS applicant unfortunately but NSW I am. Will try to keep my GPA up to increase my likelihood for everything. Thanks a lot for the help! :)

Hello,
I'm a Western Australia student I have a predicted atar of 95. Eas considerations in every state so about a 99.95 atar after considerations in most states and gateway for UNSW.

My ucat however was:
VR :700
DM: 720
QR: 710
AR: 640
Total: 2770
SJT: 702

What are my chances of getting and interview specificicaly at UNSW, Curtin and Flinders?
I assume not that great but I would love your input.

I'm not sure that EAS can boost ATAR 95 to 99.95. Iirc for SATAC you'll need mid to high 97s to get 99.95.

Tbh I don't think it's enough for Flinders. For the other schools it depends if they put EAS into a separate pool with lower cutoffs. We can't predict these due to lack of posted data.

I know in WA and NSW it is but I'm not sure about satac. On the site it says 5 but that might be a maximum. Also UNSW has the gateway scheme but I'm not sure exactly how that works.

Damn best grind to a 97 at least then with wace coming up. Thanks for the help.
