Hi,
just did my ucat this morning;

UCAT ANZ SUBTEST SCORES

Verbal Reasoning690
Decision Making740
Quantitative Reasoning830
Abstract Reasoning730
Total Score2990
Situational Judgement563

T-T dont think i have a chance at any interviews (not rural or any other special entry schemes) but the QR section wasn't too hard; got time leftover and VR was really hard for me.

First time doing ucat and only did the question banks and mocks on official website; didnt go to any other commerical tutoring place for ucat.

Just did my UCAT for the first time today:

VR: 680
DM: 780
QR: 890
AR: 890
SJT: 651

Overall: 3240

I am currently a Year 12 student in QLD. I know this is likely high enough for UQ, but what are the chances of this being a viable score for interstate unis such as Monash, UNSW, etc.?

Hi, sorry but can i get like a brief summary on what UCAT percentile each uni is using/ or if each uni is not considering ucat?

A1's Signature! Good Luck Everyone!

Apart from UQ, 3240 should get you JMP & Adelaide interviews. WSU unlikely due to 680VR.

UWA if ATAR 98.0+, UNSW 99.5+, Monash probably 99.7+ or 99.8+ (Monash is very tough on interstate).

Curtin I'm not sure of its ATAR/CASPER requirements.

Iirc UWA/Curtin don't care about SJT.
(TKAO please correct me if I'm wrong, thanks).

that sounds nice

Also A1 I asked earlier this year about applying interstate for medicine particularly for Flinders and Adelaide.

Am I right in thinking that a 3070 UCAT would be too low to apply for Flinders/Adelaide med as an interstate?

(I do have UES to boost to 99.95 but I am not sure how much this helps)

3070 last year was 93%ile, if you have UES 99.95 Flinders is possible. Worth paying the SATAC application fee for it.
(Beware however, I vaguely remember SATAC or Flinders introduced a new rule 2-3 years ago that they no longer give the UES to Year12-resit applicants. Check with them whether you fall under this category, hope not).

93%ile is unlikely to get Adelaide interview but include it if you go ahead with a SATAC application. Good luck.

What would the ATAR and UCAT requirements for Adelaide and Flinders be for a rural student (RA3, MM4, from SA) this year?

Did ucat yesterday!

VR: 760
DM: 880
QR: 890
AR: 690
Total: 3220

This is my 4th attempt - any thoughts on JMP cutoff this year? Last 3 years have been 3000, 3100 and 3160. I’m hoping 3220 scrapes in, I would be surprised if it went much higher.
Great Score!! What did your mock scores look like?

Anywhere ranging from around 2750 to 3370. The variation in scaled score vs percentage of right answers was often inconsistent so I didn’t find it very useful to focus on that very closely apart from a general idea. I mainly measured progress on number of questions right as otherwise it can be easy to get disheartened.

Hey, I was just wondering what the general UCAT cutoff and competitive scores would be for an RA2 applicant for WSU/CSU through the rural scheme.

VR: 640
DM: 780
QR: 900
AR: 810
Total: 3130

SJ: 686

I'm currently a HSFY in Otago, I'm thinking of applying to some AU unis to broaden my choices for medicine. What unis would be likely to offer me an interview? (I'm not picky)

First attempt this morning.

Great score.
Congratulations!!

Can I ask whether in actual Ucat , to use the calculator you have to click on the On/C button or does it work if you immediately start typing numbers?
Also want to get an idea as to how big is the calculator compared to the screen?
Thanks

Being a uni student you're only eligible for 4-5 Aus med schools.

3130 last year was 95%ile.
If your GPA is 6.5+ (out of Aus 7) you should get UNSW interview.
Is a little below borderline for JMP but who knows, no harm trying.

WSU definitely out of reach with 640VR.
JCU is possible with a high GPA (but I think unlikely considering you live in NZ while JCU's preference is for rural/regional/local students).
Unlikely you're interested in Bond with its half $million tuition fee.

What was that like on average?

is a WSU interview offer possible with a 3290 (740 VR)? i am interstate, so i know it is probably unlikely, given my VR isn't very high.

Great score.

Thanks. Try the official UCAT mocks and you will see what happens.
