Aren't we still unsure of the UCAT cutoff Griffith is going to have?
And are there any other unis other than JMP, JPM, UNSW, & JCU that offer Medicine to Non-Standards?

I do not think Griffith requires you to sit the UCAT. I am not quite sure about the other part of your question, my apologies.

They mentioned last year that they will use it in thus admissions cycle. Not very important after all.

It makes a lot of sense Griffith will use UCAT for 2nd-order ranking. We used to ponder if after the 99.85s Griffith had say 5 spots left how were they going to allocate to the fifty 99.80s next in line.

Hi all. My son received an ATAR in Victoria last year 98.8 and has SEAS. He is on a gap year and sat the UCAT this year with a score of 3170. I believe he will get a Monash interview round 1 but could you please tell me the interstate options?

Just had a question regarding ATAR entry requirements A1. I got a UCAT score of 3290 and am MM3/RA2 rural, however thanks to some disappointing internal assessments and awful QCE scaling, my ATAR doesn't look like it'll shoot much past 97-98 (raw). I know to aim as high as possible to maximize my chances, but thanks to how this year is going I don't see myself getting much higher than that range. Is this too low to consider applying or will it not be as much of a detriment as I think? Thanks.

If your kid will indeed get ATAR 99.90 they will at least get a Griffith place offer, UMelb Chancellor's. And Flinders if 99.95.

99.5 & 3060 is very very borderline for UNSW, will have to wait & see.

Rural 3290 will get you interviews everywhere.
Coupled with 97-98 I'd say you have better than 50/50 chance for place offer where ATAR/UCAT are counted into the final ranking.

Depends on your rurality.
If you're rural - may get an interview (sus out prior year interview offer threads). If you're non-rural, I dont think you have a chance.

Hellooo I am a rural student- I was wondering like what would atar and ucat range I should need to get in? I want to maximise my marks regardless but for the sake of knowing I have some added security in comparison to my peers in the chance I screw up, I would like to know what marks I should expect to get interviews?

As of now my plan is adelaide, WSU, JMP. I am assuming WSU will be the most likely due to my VR (i'm assuming i meet cutoff for non nsw?)

Are there any other unis that would be suitable given my situation and scores?

Adelaide and WSU seem to be your best shots. You may miss out on JMP since you're borderline for it in accordance with the trend from the past 4 years (increasing by 60 each year), but no harm in applying obviously. I don't think the score combination is enough for other unis, though if you get 6.6-6.7+ GPA you'll be competitive for UNSW.

Oh sorry, I wasn't referring to unis that take in non-standards, just medical unis in general. Really the only options for non-standards (excl. JCU and Bond) are the NSW unis, and since you're a UAdel student - UAdel. Huge congrats on your score, though!! Getting any interviews is getting tougher and tougher every year, haha
