Hi guys, just did my UCAT yesterday
VR: 760
DM: 780
QR: 890
AR: 730
Total: 3160
SJ: 645
JPM/WSU formula (2xVR + Total) / 6: 653.33 780
(edited by A1)
Predicted/Actual ATAR/GPA: Above 99, please tell me what i need to aim for!!
Rural:
NO
State: NSW
Other Special Considerations:
(inc. GWS, EAS, indigenous pathway, Broadway, Monash Guarantee, etc) just GWS for WSU i guess

Will I be able to get interview offers for any UNI's as a high school leaver?
Preferably WSU, UNSW or JMP...?

To clarify:

Getting 99.5+ is going to make you *eligible* for UNSW and USYD (got to be Low socio-economical area). You have a good chance at getting UNSW. The higher your ATAR the lower the UCAT requirement from UNSW. Getting 99.95 is going to get you an almost guaranteed offer to Flinder. We don't have data for Griffith's new requirements. You can ask A1 / DrDrLMG! / others for other unis. A good thing to look at the requirements table posted by A1 and to check last years invites and offers.

Other than a good change to UNSW and a slight change of JPM or ND, what are the available interstate options? UQ seems not possible, but how about UWA or UAdel?

Thank you all in advance!!!
With 99.8+ you could get a straight place offer from Griffith/USC. Flinders place offer if 99.95.

JCU interview is possible.
3110 should get you UNSW interview, borderline for Monash. Weighted 778 is borderline for WSU-NSW.

I don't think 3110 will be enough for JMP and the other interstate schools UQ, Adelaide, UWA.
Don't know about UTas/Curtin.

Hi, did my UCAT a couple days ago:
VR: 720

Total: 3120

JPM/WSU formula (2xVR + Total) / 6: 760

Rural: (yes/no and rural ranking if known/applicable): no
State: NSW
Other Special Considerations: (inc. GWS, EAS, indigenous pathway, Broadway, Monash Guarantee, etc): EAS

I was wondering which unis would give me an offer (for dent or med doesn't really matter !) ? Preferably would be able to stay in Sydney, but open to any other places too !

Thanks in advance :)
Your 3120+542 is borderline for UQ Dent if you have the Chem prereq. I don't know about the other dent schools.

Check with SATAC whether your EAS qualifies for SATAC UES. If so you get boosted to 99.95, with 3120 you could get Flinders place offer.
Or push your ATAR to 99.8+ for possible Griffith/USC place offer.

Interviews : you should get UNSW, possible JCU, borderline for Monash, somewhat below borderline for WSU-NSW. Not enough for JMP and interstate med schools UQ, Adelaide, UWA. Not sure about UTas/Curtin.

Hi, recently did my UCAT (didn't go that well 😔):
VR: 580

Im MM2 and in QLD.
Just wondering what the slim chances are looking like for interstate and for QLD med and dent schools. Thanks in advance!!!

A1, can you please give me a list of all the UCAT and ATAR cutoffs for every uni that offers medicine in Australia? I would like the percentiles and the exact scores as well for the UCAT. Please let me know if that would be possible.

I think I can get UNSW interview. But I’m not sure about WSU and JMP (Newcastle) because the cut off UCAT is raised every year. How about my chance to get interviews with UQ, UAdel, Monash and Griffth ?I am open to any med school in Australia. Thanks

3010 + 674 SJ. Shooting for Griffith and UQ dent with a 99+ ATAR. Thoughts on my chances?
i got a slightly higher ucat score and a bit of a worse atar last ear and i got an interview with griffith and late round offer with UQ dent. so you should have a good chance if the cutoffs havent increased too much

A1, can you please give me a list of all the UCAT and ATAR cutoffs for every uni that offers medicine in Australia?
Sorry can't give you every uni, I'm not that clever 😂

From my memory & from checking the collated data threads

Griffith : Nathan/Gold Coast 99.85+ - USC 99.8+ (place offer)
Flinders : 99.95 incl SATAC UES and 92+%ile (place offer)
UNSW : 99.5+ and 92+%ile (though I'm not sure whether the 92%ile requires a near-top ATAR or is good by itself)
Monash : local 98.5+ and 90+%ile (lower if MG/SEAS) - interstate 99.7+ and 95+%ile (or 99.8+ and 92+%ile)
UQ : local 3030 91%ile - interstate 3220 98%ile
WSU : weighted 740 GWS - 780 NSW - 820 non-NSW
JMP : 3160 96%ile
Adelaide : local 85ish %ile (not sure) - interstate 97+%ile
UWA : local looks to be around 90%ile - interstate a high-end 99%ile got interview, a low-end 99%ile was told not high enough!

That filled up my memory bank, no room for rural so please don't ask haha.

Oh I am not rural so will definitely not ask that haha. Thanks so much for all the info! What about the atars for all the unis below Monash on the list? Especially for Adelaide? Any idea?

____________
A1 replies: UQ 95+, WSU 95.5+ (93.5 GWS), JMP 94.3+, Adelaide 90+, UWA 98+.
These are simply to be eligible for consideration. How they weigh into your final ranking for place offer see the "Offer Weighting" column in this table

Logically speaking, you'll most likely be considered an ACT student since you're applying as a non-standard tertiary applicant. Not completely sure though! Best to contact WSU or UAC for the most correct information.
Thank you for the response. I will write to them and clarify.

Not the greatest score and I assume it's a no for UNSW/JMP. Just wondering what my chances for a WSU JPM interview are looking like as a GWS resident? I am a non-school leaver and I have finished a degree with Hons Class 1.

I've seen different information about cut-offs and formulas from anywhere between 720-740 and was hoping someone had more insight.

Thanks :)

Hi please check your interview opportunities off the post above
> Post UCAT Discussion 2024

For rural check in the collated data threads. An approximate rule is meeting their ATAR requirements and 60ish %ile should get you interviews.
All the best.

Aren't we still unsure of the UCAT cutoff Griffith is going to have?
And are there any other unis other than JMP, JPM, UNSW, & JCU that offer Medicine to Non-Standards?

____________
A1 replies: The 2nd question has been answered several times: JMP, JPM, UNSW, JCU, Bond if you can afford the fees, Curtin if you have completed a degree (or is a Curtin undergrad student).
