I might be crazy here, but I picked the 5250 answer for the snow air bubbles question. My reasoning was my interpretation of the text that an air bubble forms when the snow becomes compact, thus networks of air get closed off, which I assume(d?) leads to the air in the compact snow pushing up to the non compactef snow.

Hence, I picked the answer where the air bubble is either the same age or older than the surrounding snow, but never younger.

Did I just absolutely flop on this question or does my interpretation make any sense?

i put 4750, my interpretation was because air bubbles form after a certain amount of snow falls, therefore the air bubbles can never be older than the snow, because air bubbles only form when the snow reaches and x amount of depth. Air bubbles can’t form before the snow and therefore can never be older? That’s what I thought.

Crow, this was very similar to american law exam puzzles. You needed to draw a table and from purely that info you actually figured out the rest (inferences, trial and error etc..)

Agreed, quite ridiculous, apparently the am session had no such issue. Some people have supposedly complained to Acer about it.

That sucks. You should email ACER. However, going from my previous experiences (for example, the invigilators talking on their phone constantly) they will not care.
 
Acer will make next year’s umat half price for all the pm session people :)))
 
Lmao has anyone ever seen umat practice exams from like ten years ago...... boyyy we all could get 100th percentile doing it blind.

Rest in peace anyone doing UMAT in 2028. It only gets worse each year

Tbh I feel like one of the reasons for this could be because in recent years it has been "easier" to "study" for the UMAT. There are so many materials and resources based on UMAT questions, and the majority of people taking the test tend to "study". To combat this, the questions have to be somewhat difficult and abstract or else like you said, we'd all blindly get 100%iles

That's not how a percentile works...

It doesn't really matter since it's the relative performance between you and the other candidates that counts.
 
I did notice a thud sound from a concert but it disappeared soon enough. Of course it isn't my place to comment on how somebody feels about a distraction, if the concert sound threw your train of thought off for a few minutes then I can believe that. Unfortunately ACER will not do anything, and there is not much they can do anyway other than plan next years UMAT so it doesn't fall on a concert day.
 
I mentioned this before but I think it got buried. Did anyone else find that they had already read some of the section 2 passages before? In particular the one about two new dads.
