Thanks. What are my chances for a CSP, BMP, and ERC at Monash?

With 99.80 & 97th %ile Victorian it's very likely you will get at least BMP if not CSP. Just don't mess up the interview, I think a so-so one is enough to get you in so don't try any out-of-ordinary talks.

Hi all, I'm a newbie to MSO.

Would anybody be able to tell me how likely I am to get an offer for UNSW, GWS, JMP with an ATAR of 99.45 and a ucat score of 95%ile?

I am rural, non-GWS and eligible for EAS (so 99.45 atar = 99.95 selection rank).

Thanks for your time

You'll get a JMP interview invite (25-30% chance of offer based on how many people they interview)
WSU (which I assume you mean where you've written GWS) is touch and go for an interview, it'll depend how the move to UCAT affects things. If you do get an interview, it's about a 35-40% chance of offer I think, again based on how many people they interview and their preference for GWS applicants).
You will also get a UNSW interview, but I have no idea what your offer chances are there.

Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forums. I got 93%ile in the UCAT this year and my estimated ATAR is 99.75 give or take. I'm hoping to study in the medical field (so either Med/Dent). I wanted to order my preferences correctly because some people have told me that some unis only send offers to first preferences or so?
In UAC I have
UNSW
WSU
JMP
USYD Dent
CSU Dent.
Should I change these around for the next week or so until the interviews come out? Thanks

The positioning of your preferences has no bearing whatsoever on whether you receive an interview. As long as the course is there somewhere, and you’re eligible (for Med, WSU is probably your least likely for interview unless you’re rural or GWS), then you will receive an interview invite.

Is this any different in any of the other states? I've applied in every state. How likely do you think is it that I'll get an interview offer at UNSW/WSU/JMP? Thank you again sorry for being a hassle

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know what are the chances are to get into the following Unis with 87%tile UCAT, 99.15 predicted raw (SA disadvantage so after UES I get 99.95), not rural and not GWS:
Adelaide Med
Adelaide Dent
Flinders
UNSW
La Trobe
GCU
UQ
UWA
UWS
JMP
Sydney
UTAS
I know it is impossible to super accurately predict my chances but hey, MedStudents online has master guesstimators, and you knowledge and wisdom will be appreciated (Also my interview skills are quite ok I think with more practice I can get a high result. Can talk to a brick wall for hours if needed.)

Thanks!

Yes for UNSW & JMP. WSU maybe

I’m only good at estimating these because I’ve watched A1 do it for so long. Will leave rest to the real experts though.

UNSW no, unless you have disadvantage which you can get bonus points for then it’s a maybe, WSU on the low side so I’d say no & JMP is a perhaps (Peter griffin voice).

Thanks Smelly Boy! And I hit my knee, ouch!

In addition to what was already mentioned...

UAdel moves around a bit each year and can be hard to predict. Hopefully you get interviews for both of those courses. Flinders, yes. I'm assuming your UES is SA-specific? Assuming that... LaTrobe I'm not too familiar with, sorry. UQ, probably not due to UMAT. Griffith (is that what you mean by GCU?), no due to ATAR. UWA interview possibly (did you apply to Curtin, too?), Sydney, no due to ATAR. UTAS hard to predict, but unlikely due to ATAR. Edited to add: UTAS is a definite no without chemistry.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your help! And yes I have my fingers crossed, thank you!

Any reason why you aren't applying to Curtin?

Hey, yeah the reason why I am not applying there is because I am a bit of a dud. I decided to not choose chemistry this year and prerequisite Chemistry is needed for Curtin and multitude of other schools (Including UTAS, but I still submitted an application there cause why not). So yeah, was such a dumb move on my behalf, should have chosen chem instead of bio tbh :(

Okok. Maybe consider a bridging course and see if they will take it then.

Yeah, chemistry is 100% required for UTAS, “cause why not” isn’t going to cut it. As TKAO said, you might want to consider a bridging course.

I had to apply for bridging course for JCU, UTAS and Curtin. Worth it.

Applying for: Medicine
Application Type: School leaver (IB retake)
ATAR: 99.60
UCAT Percentile: 98th
Current State: South Australia
Applying to:
All universities
Rural/GWS/Indigenous/Other Applicant: No
Specific Question: I was told my chances at Adelaide and UNSW were 50% and 70%, respectively. What would be my chances at WSU, JCU, UWA, Curtin and Bond. Thanks very much, much appreciated (I'm just trying to gauge which unis to focus on - all good if you only answer for a few of them). :)

Did you get a WSU invite today? If so, about 35-40% for there.
JCU is impossible to say.
You will get a psychometric invite for Bond.
You will also get interviews for UWA and Curtin.

Thanks for your response! Oh no, I haven't received an invitation, that's disappointing (I assume they don't send rejection emails because I didn't receive an email). I thought it was 100% UCAT for interview selection...I would've thought 98 should be enough?
