UNSW would likely require an actual ATAR at the top end of that range you’ve quoted (last year, lowest ATAR we had reported here was 99.35), and UWA would be similar. JMP is right on the borderline unless they drop back to their usual ~90th%ile (last year was 93rd). Same for UQ.

JCU will depend on the written application.

WSU : Unlikely
JMP : Interview

Unlikely at UNSW , WSU , JMP
Likely : Adelaide Dentistry
Possible ; JCU Med/Dent dependent on written application

The impact of SCATS is dependent on your situation and how UNSW assess the impact. It's not possible to predict how much a SCATS applications boosts your rank as it changes from person to person and UNSW don't release it for good reason.

Specific Question: I'm more inclined to finish my degree next year, but is it worth applying to WSU and JCU this year? I'm aware that for JCU, I would need to have an exceptional written application since I'm not a rural applicant.

For Med
- Griffith Medicine : Offers for USC , Nathan/GC if .75+
- Melbourne FFP Path

For Dent
- Interviews at Adelaide , Griffith are likely [Rest are unlikely using UCAT]
- Melbourne Dent [FFP Path]
- USYD Dent [Interview granted .6+]

WSU : Interview [You have 750+ which was the cut-off last year]
JCU : Depends on Written application so it might be worth it

Overall worth applying to WSU at the least

You should get interview invites for all 4 Unis. I think the offer to invite ratio is the same for rural candidates so it's 1/4 at JMP , 1/3 at WSU and UNSW. For UQ it's 1/3 I think but it does get quite a lot of students rejecting offers comparatively to other unis
I’m not sure your right with this one from what I’ve heard JMP is 1/3 for rural applicants? I could be wrong though maybe a mod can clarify

I'm not exactly certain on if it's 1/4, did JMP say it was 1/3 if so that's the correct information. It would be odd however if the ratio is different but it's possible

Nah I’m pretty sure I read it on here from a moderator look again I could be wrong. But I don’t see how that would be odd JMP from my knowledge takes the largest raw ammount of applications and their might not even be the rural applicants for 1/4 for interview considering the cut off was 41st %ile last year for rural to me that’d make sense

how much does WSU bonus actually help?
The only WSU bonus here is you're GWS. WSU allocates ~half of the interview spots to GWS applicants resulting in a lower UCAT cutoff.

We have also seen stats showing more than half WSU intakes are GWS, so it seems their lower UCAT doesn't affect their chances versus non-GWS applicants.

Just a random question regarding GWS. I know last year gws requirement increased from 685 to around 700. With the increase in scores again this year😣, should the increase in marks be similar i.e 700 to a 715 for this year?
