fix - UMAT chat is on at 8pm rather than 6pm EST so that the WA students can make it. :) Watch the announcements and my sig for it ;)

It doesn't work mathematically, gulls, like havox said, but intuitively it makes more sense that way :p

No it doesn't. Intuitively, it's all the same.

When guessing, colour in the circle that is currently closest to the tip of your pencil.

EDIT: Also, nice pentuple post, dumb :p pressing "edit" takes about the same amount of time as "new reply", you know ;)

It depends on whether the correct answers were randomised by a computer generated program (which is pretty likely) or by a person. Apparently, people cannot truely randomly generate anything and they tend to "correct" the randomness so you'd be less likely to see a string of "D"s in a human made answer key. Then again computer generated random numbers are only psuedorandom so again the probability of a string of "D"s appearing could be slightely more or less than 1/4^n. If you have enough time to ponder this on the actual UMAT then you are either doing very well or you should really get back to your exam.

Computers can never be random its impossible
they follow instructions given to them

I mean the process a computer goes through to generate a "random" number

is still an algorithm set by a human

and therefore predictable

not sure if someones answered this before

but whats the rule with watches? digital and analogue?

Don't use them. Use the big clocks they set up out front, better to use their timers than your own so you don't make a mistake.

I still haven't figured out how to multi-quote :(
