UoO Graduate Entry Chat/Enquiry

On the Otago website for post grad med/dental, it says updated spreadsheet will be available on 1st July but I’m not sure what is is
 
hey, does anyone have any recomendations on what to do with educ252, I did not do very well on the first assignment although I thought I did, any advice would be great

I did educ252 in my second year. I wouldnt stress too much about it. You can definitely go talk to your tutor about it as they would be hapy to give you feedback. I would be careful about getting it remarked as I know a couple people who ended up with lower grades than they began with. Based on the feedback you get from your tutor, you can decide what to do!
You have another big assignment soon, so I would channel my energy there :)
 
hi, with the MSK presentation in ANAT241, does anyone know if the question they ask u is based of the information on your slide, or the topic as a whole

I'm pretty sure they ask questions related to your section. For our year we did the sternocleidomastoid muscle, and I did the last interesting facts part and got asked about what I think the SCM would be like in other animals (I forgot what everyone got asked but I remember another question being what ways you can measure SCM activity or something). Other people who presented the SCM got the same question for all sections from what I know and they don't really care about the slide info, so I'd recommend asking people who did the same topic what they got asked. Just make sure you reference correctly and you'll be fine, I think I got full marks for it so don't stress haha.
 
Hi! I would ask the lecturer for his resources to be released early - he had some amazing ones last year (module summaries) and the exam is pretty straightforward SAQ's. There will be more info, just ask him to maybe release it earlier?

Thank you for your reply! I'll try get him to release it early haha. Do you have any resources that I could potentially use to study? I am struggling because I have no clue what the exam is going to be like 😭

It better be an error, otherwise it's the end of the road for me.

Pretty sure it is an error though because I've of heard people that got in this year with 8.3

I sent an email to the health sciences office and they assured me the data was actually correct and that this years minimum GPA was just particularly high. I'm not sure whats going on here
 
lmao what, they really are just straight up lying lol. Maybe they haven't accounted for the offers in late jan, but obv not sure, but i am deffff sure 8.2 got into med and also there were more post grad spots open this year
