See the first post on page 1 of this thread…Hello Unluckydude, thanks so much for that. Do you happen to know if UQ has an interview?
My kid got an offer from UQ dent for 2023 entry as NZ school leaver with ATAR 99.50 and UCAT 3804 incl SJT but she chose med elsewhere.Hi everyone, realistically what are my chances of getting into dentistry in Aus as a NZ school leaver (CSP)?
I know the ATAR conversions are in my favour given that I've already finished calculus and english with all E's (Im taking Biology, chemistry, physics and stats this year), I'm predicting ATAR in high 99+
However, my UCAT is pretty low 2910with 667 SJ, although I know La trobe only uses atar?
Otherwise I'm considering going to Otago for hsfy but not a fan of Dunedin...
Hey everyone, does anyone know which universities don't require GAMSAT for graduate students?
JMP, Curtin, JCU, Bond, UNSW, JMP, and JPM. Most of those use UCAT instead of GAMSAT, including for graduate applicants.Hey everyone, does anyone know which universities don't require GAMSAT for graduate students?
Thank you!!!JMP, Curtin, JCU, Bond, UNSW, JMP, and JPM. Most of those use UCAT instead of GAMSAT, including for graduate applicants.
EDIT: Oh wait! This is Dent!
In which case, UAdel, LaTrobe, CSU, Griffith, and UQ. Most of which use UCAT instead as above, including for graduate applicants…
if you can maintain your gpa at 6.5, there's a high chance you will get an offer from uq denthey, I have a ucat score of 2980 with a SJT of 667 (so 3647 overall) and a GPA of around 6.5 (2 years FT by the end of this year). Does anyone have an idea of how likely I'll be to get an interview? thanks!
Hey, is VTAC personal statement still necessary for 2024 LaTrobe dent entry? I can't find it anywhere on the link attached. For context, I'm a 1st year uni student now and am applying for next year, so I guess I'm NSL.For NSL (Non school leavers), it is necessary for them to submit one. For SL, this is optional.
From the LaTrobe Dentistry page:
"Non-Year 12 applicants must complete and submit a VTAC Personal Statement online for other information to be considered during the selection process e.g. details on work experience or reasons for applying."

I don't think so.Hey, is VTAC personal statement still necessary for 2024 LaTrobe dent entry?
Unfortunately, your atar/ucat combination is too low for all dental schools unless it gets a really good boost from SEAS. You may get offer from JCU if your written application is really good.can someone pls advise on where all should i apply for dental and medicine, that has 'some' chance
Am a School Leaver from WA: non rural/ predicted ATAR=98/ UCAT = 80(2840). Full fee paying and Bonded BMP is okay
eligible for: English, language and maths bonus
With my mocks underway - i cant seem to get my head around with so many combinations... overwhelmed with the uni admission criteria.... provisional admission / multiple campus/multiple admission services for same course// New courses with path ways to medicine?
Shoot your shot at the WA medical and dental schools. They have a preference for WA students and I know some people with much lower UCATs that got into UWA dental school but with higher ATARs so your mileage may vary. UWA has recently cut both their entry requirements to med and dent to 98, it used to be a 99 cutoff. Unfortunately, pretty much everything on the east coast regarding med schools (as I'm not a dental student) is out of reach for you with the exception of a stellar application to JCU should you not have any SEAS considerations.can someone pls advise on where all should i apply for dental and medicine, that has 'some' chance

Yes, the two covid years have seen pretty low scores getting in... but it didnt last longShoot your shot at the WA medical and dental schools. Has this changed since 2020? and also are there any tables for medicine?UPDATED (June, 2020). Dentistry Entry pathways table created by Dreamer and Cal. Thank you to both of them for their hard work and dedication to the cause! From LMG!

** note: prices quoted are for 2020 entry and are typically indexed to increase slightly each year. While these prices are a good guide, it's also goo to check individual university webpages for updated information for your year of hopeful entry.
Below table now outdated but remains for reference.
