Admissions Centres Questions and Discussion

Does anyone else's MBBS course at Flinders say 'not currently eligible for consideration'? Was there something extra we were supposed to submit to Flinders?

If it's any consolation, for my SATAC applications I have 2 "not currently eligible for consideration" from UniSA (non-med courses), and some other status for UAdel? Maybe they just haven't gotten to processing the applications yet?

I called them up because mine showed the same thing, and the guy pretty much said I’m currently not eligible for consideration, but I will be once ATAR comes out.

Just to reiterate Crow's point though; this routinely happens every year. UAC in particular is a nightmare of codes that seem arbitrarily applied. It is very rarely(/basically never!) an actual problem.

Hello All , When applying for UWA via TISC there is no option to select unbonded or bonded place . To those who have applied please confirm .Thanks.

You don't get the option. It is assumed people will preference a CSP over a BMP so when admissions come round, if you are in the top 70% you get a CSP and if you are below that you get a BMP which you can either accept or not. It is possible to get upgraded from a BMP to CSP however if other CSP's drop out and you are next in line.

So I want to apply for rural entry- I lived in an RA3 area from when I was born to when I was 8 so I meet the criteria, but when I turned 9 I moved away to Sydney. For my VTAC application it only gives me an option to put in my permanent residential address (my current sydney one)- is there a way for me to put down my 8 years living rurally so I can be eligible?

Is this for applying to Monash via the Dean’s Rural List (given you mentioned VTAC)?

If we applied to the TACs last year, can we reuse that application or do we need to restart with new payment?
Also, I still have the same UCAT number, can we be sure that they will not use our old results?
And lastly, do I record having done 6 months of FTE? I will have completed a whole year by the admissions process but I’ve only done 6 months so far

Can't speak for the other TACs, but unfortunately with QTAC you need to restart and pay again. I imagine it's the same for the others. UCAT results are only valid in the year of the exam sitting so you definitely can be assured they won't use your old results.

Thanks for that.
With regards to restarting a new application, is it fine to use the same email? QTAC is saying I already used my email, so will restarting my application using a previously used email be fine ? Not trying to take any chances ROFL

I'm sure re-using is fine as they can't expect you to change your email every year. I think the reminder is just in case you have already applied this year.

Hi, I have applied to Western Sydney Uni/Charles Sturt and University of Sydney via UAC... do I need to apply directly to the unis as well? I can't find the direct application links on their websites.

I'm fairly sure WSU no longer requires a direct application.
Just to double check, does UAC mention the direct applications to UNSW & JMP?

I saw WSU and USYD on this MedEntry page: Admissions Summary so not really sure

That page probably hasn't been updated for a few years. WSU did require a direct application mainly to get a predicted ATAR signed by your school, but they stopped that 2-3 years ago.

Considering it still lists WSU as MBBS and JMP as BMed youre probably right

I’ve recently finished my applications for QTAC, SATAC and TISC, but I noticed that unlike UAC and VTAC, they do not ask for your UCAT ID, will they try to find it themselves or did I miss a step in my applications.
