Thank you so much for taking the time to type all that advice out. I'm actually speechless at the moment because i'm so grateful! Thanks again and I really hope you get into med eventually. Your passion for med is very apparent and your dedication to helping everyone on these forums is amazing. Keep up the good work and never give up!
Ara!! Hey, I did a full time course load for the foundation course in 2010 and I did 7 papers this year. Haha it'll be my third year at university and I'll still be doing stage one papersHaven't you graduated already with the other girls?
@Zippo You can use the multiquote function of the forum, its at the bottom right of each post that you want to quote, looks like a speech bubble with a + sign instead of double posting. Alternately, you could use the edit button. ~Havi.
Thankies!! ~Zippo
Best I can do is:
https://www.fmhs.auckland.ac.nz/soph/undergrad/_docs/CourseOutlines/POPLHLTH111.pdf (poplhlth 111)
https://www.fmhs.auckland.ac.nz/faculty/teaching/medsci142/_docs/142-course-outline.pdf (medsci 142)
Stage 1 courses*- The University of Auckland (biosci 101 + 106 + 107)
Year 1 courses*- The University of Auckland (physics 160)
Courses – Faculty of Science – Chemistry (chem 110)
The above are the courses for biomed with one extra general ed paper. And I assume you know that the 'core papers' are 110, 107, 142, and 111.
Hi guys,
I have been trying to enrol in the semester 1 courses for first-year BIOMED since December 15th. However, until now I still cannot enrol in BIOSCI 107 L003, POPLHLTH 111 L02T/L04T. It keeps telling me that those classes are full but obviously they are not (I checked the enrollment total).
And when I clicked on POP 111 L02T, none of the tutorials showed up (only showed:Section).
I'm currently outside the country so I emailed [email protected] and someone from there emailed me back said "BIOSCI 107 and POPLHLTH 111 are not open to enrol". That's weird, isnt it?<_<
Does anyone have the same problem or is it just me(((((((((((((((((?
It might have something to do with them being first year papers and school students not being able to enrol etc until NCEA exam results come out? I actually have no idea though, that's just a guess.

Hey guys, I just got all my documents in(applied for Health Sci program). Do we just have to wait to see if we've been accepted or not to edit papers etc for next year? Sorta confused about this as when I applied I just registered for the Health Sci program but there was no mention of OLY1 or anything..im presuming this is normal but just checking up...Cheers guys
I remember having the same problem enrolling this time last year. As far as I remember it was just a matter of waiting / harassing people via email... Good luck!
Hey does anyone know how Auckland grade the papers? I mean like for otago, each paper receives a percentage say 90%,96% etc and they use te top seven marks average the 2/3 with 1/3 umat results, to get the score of 78.9( Which was te cut off ), but do Auckland grade/weigh it the same way? Or do they round the marks to get A,A+ etc for gap of 1-9 with A+ being 9.... I know I made it sound really confusing but I'm stressed over whether I should go o Auckland or otago and it's 3.30am right now.... Please try your best to understand what I'm asking and answer !! Thanks
Hey guys! I congrats to all of those that were accepted this year. I what an achievement! For those that missed out, can I encourage you to remember a few things :
1. Your life is your own & you only get one shot at it. Setbacks only really happen to people who take risks & they happen all. The time. If you put yourself out there things won't go your way every time & I'll that unknown is what makes life exciting. So feel sorry for yourself for awhile then pull it together.
2. If u really really want something, but in this case a particular career choice you CAN make it happen. Just be patient & remember there's always cool stuff to Learn on every journey. Nothing is a waste of time when you're on your way to a goal. It really is true what they say regarding destinations never being as good as journeys.
3. Be sure to consider other options also. Medicine is not theb
e all & end all. Stay open to other opportunities that may present themselves.
For those going to Auckland, and I look forward to. Meeting those of you that don't get freaked out by "mature" students & wish u all the best for what is a fun. But full on year. We're all being subjected to brand new assessment tools next year so my guess is its gonna be messy...... but we're all in it together! Happy to holidays!
Sorry about all the typos I'm in the middle of nowhere with just the phone & a new keyboard for it. It's driving me crazy..... SO Just & read between the lines......

@leiladian here is the page with codes for the papers to enrol. If you need more help for the other papers I can give you the codes I used for my timetable
Biomedical Science enrolment timetable*- The University of Auckland
I've found that it is much easier to type the class nbr as listed on that page into the Student Services Online class search.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Zippo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the link you gave me, it says :"Students who have accepted their offers to the BSc (Biomedical Science) must enroll into the following courses ".
What if I enrolled into a different Lab class but same LEC class for BIOSCI 101 and CHEM 110?
And for BIOSCI 107 and POPLHLTH 111, I still cannot enrol in those classes...! PLUS, the POP 111 LAB class (Class Nbr 17818) for Biomed students is closed?!!!!!!
