Ok um......... I think i failed the 203 test......... So unsure about heaps of phil blyth multi choice. Most of it isnt from the blue boxes, you gotta think from all sorts of angles and read each option carefully....

Lordgarlic, any advice for how i should be studying for phil's stuff?

no good way to learn anatomy aside from brute force...that or do an orthoepdics run lol. My anatomy now i think is better than it was when I did my 203 exam in 2nd year. It's just practice

The problem is, I don't know if brute force would cut it for Phil Blythes questions. Even if you had Moores memorised, the questions sometimes require a high level of reasoning and deduction before you can get to the answer. That was the impression I had anyway.

Don't worry too much. I'm pretty sure they massively scale 203 grades. Many in my year were shocked to learn they got better grades in 203 than 205 when they had been expecting the opposite.

Yea toaster, for 203 test, they only released the grades. There must be a massive scale up cus theres no way i could've done that well. Wonder what my raw score is lols.....

by the way i hope you guys aren't the ones leaving the cadavers face down! it makes labs for 3rd years very annoying (have to flip them back over)...and it's not very respectful towards the cadavers!

Woops...sorry, but we always find them lying the same way we left them?

Yea A+ for me too =)

Hey synapse or lordgarlic, do you guys remember/know how to use DICOM? I can't find anyone who knows how to use it...

Hi guys you know out the chemistry test? Is the Exam a lot harder than the tests? (I mean in terms of the average score or what you personally think?) Is around 90% a good enough score if you get 3s for your labs?

If memory serves me right, there are 2 tests for CHEM 110. First test is easy as, second test is easy. Exam isn't much harder than the second test. Do lots of past exams and there really is no good reason, unless you have a very low learning ability or something, why you won't get A or A+.

I can't really remember how much the labs are worth. But just keep in mind that A+ is anything above 85ish.

Chem 110 is so easy you shouldn't waste your time worrying about it.

Haha Synapse not everybody is as smart as you lol. I think i'm going to stumble on my labs...but thanks for the encouragement:lol:

Sorry I really didn't mean to sound up-myself! Certainly wasn't trying to put anyone down either.

But I'm still going to insist that CHEM 110 is the easiest out of the 4 common papers (the ones that count directly towards med entry) unless your brain is really different from like 90% of other Biomed people, in which case you might find Population Health particularly easy

As for Chem labs, tell your partner to work harder! ;)

Haha you are funny Synapse. Sure i will tell my lab partner that hooo! And i agree with you POPhealth is way harder lol since now they are doing plussage the exam counts for 75%

Plussage

So when they say that plussage applies for pophlth111 what does that mean exactly? Also do you have to attend every single tutorial to qualify for it?
I agree with Leafy chemistry is a little worrying just because we get graded against everyone else in labs lol
So which of the common courses do you think was the hardest to get good grades in? ^_^
