its gonna be reaaal intenste these next few weeks, i cant believe we're about to finish our first year already, but DAIM these coming exams are gonna be heavy. todays biochem lecture took 12 pages in the courseguide, all that memorising we're gonna have to do for 106 and medsci, its scary just thinking about it. not to mention our physics test in a week and a half, and our gen ed papers that are gonna become increasingly demanding very soon, and in the worst time possible

Good luck everyone, im commencing my social isolation as of today :P

lol, it make life sooo much easier if they consider the GPA of the 4 core subjects rather than the total GPA THEN the GPA across the 4 core subjects. Some are speculating that this is in fact what they do but we cant risk it. Either way i hope they clear it up this thursday

Yeah, we can finally get some definitive information regarding entry from them. Lets keep it up g.walker. Just this last little push for the GPA!

how did u do in ur medsci test Leafie? I screwed up the reproduction lab most, unfortunately i dont speak latin so whichever retard expected us to know what the name of a virus/fungus/bacteria was based on his/her description of it thought it would be cool to ask us that should be b*t*hslapped

Best thing i liked about medsci was all that all our lectureres were about >70 year olds, it sorta made me hate a specific somebody who desided to make his powerpoints 50 slides each, and just for gags he drowned each of them with information (lets not forget good old mr. thermal physics)

[offtopic]anyone think Dr. S is sorta.... charming?[/offtopic]

Well there's something to look forward to.

By the way, anyone know what's the cut-off for A+ in 106? I can't find it in the course book.

I just heard it was 78% last year too. Either we have the same source or it really is 78%. Why don't they put something about the grades in the course book?(n)

So guys, what specialist are you guys thinking of getting into at this stage? I know it's too early to think about this kinda stuff, but its fun to dream :)

I wanna do General Internal Medicine, then maybe on to Palliative or Intensive Care.

Im thinking of General Internal Medicine too! Unforunately when ppl ask me what that is, i tell them "its sorta like what Dr. House does" and they're always like "ohhh ok, thats why", then im like, "no no, its not like that, i really like the field".. they always have things figured out -_-

Either that or emergency medicine, but as you said its hard to decide from now, good to have an idea tho
