Bond Bond Medicine: General Discussion

With the psychometric test, which I sat at the beginning of this year, I was wondering that because you can only sit it every 2 years, if I got an interview offer last year after my psychometric exam, would that put me in a good position to anticipate an interview offer for 2022 entrance?
They have just changed the company so you will probably have to resit the test this year

Since they changed company, do you know if they may be changing the tests, ie, they are no longer doing msceit and 16pf? Or are they changing the testing provider, while doing the same tests but invigilated?

Hi,
I am a graduate application and I wanted to ask regarding my university marks, as my uni has calculated it using WAM instead of giving a GPA. So would I need to do anything or would the Bond uni be able to convert the WAM on my transcript? Also what are the subject prerequisites for graduates

you know how there are two options for bond uni on QTAC, either to start in may or september? Is it better to put both options, just one or does it not matter?

not sure it matters, apply for the one you have more interest in pursing?

Have you been Able to submit an application yet? it still won't work for me.

I did. It works fine for me

I applied mine today. They don't ask for the grade at all. Maybe it is something that you need to provide later if needed to

Hi all,

Just a question from an interstate undergrad applicant- on the Bond website, it asks to add 'required documentation' as proof of subject prerequisites, etc. However, do I need to add any documents if QTAC has already asked for my UAC number, which would provide them with my ATAR and list of subjects?

Cheers

ATAR/GPA determines psychometric test invite. Psychometric test performance determines interview invite. Interview performance determines offer.

I believe :D
From my understanding, this is no longer accurate. During last year's offer round, the admissions team said that along-side interview performance "other factors were considered" in determining offers.

Take this next part with a grain of salt, because it is purely based on my experience and has NOT been stated by Bond:

I believe the 'other factor' is likely the ATAR due to anecdotal evidence - two students who were shortlisted for the September intake (ranked lower than may intake students) had the two "highest" psychometric results (Considerably higher than anyone else in the cohort, as determined by the analysis bond provides its successful applicants). Moreover, I believe both these students had relatively low ATAR/GPA. I am unsure on the GPA applicant, but my friend was the other student and applied with a 96.55. And finally, not that it adds much, but imo my friend would've likely had a stellar interview as he had very genuine content and incredible delivery (The guy was the dux drama for the state of Queensland). I'm happy to try to explain anything in this paragraph because I'm sure parts of it aren't clear (My bad😭).

But regardless of what the "other factors" were, I think its best to focus each hurdle at a time and try to produce your best effort in each of them. "To build the best wall that's ever been made, you should focus on laying the single best brick ever laid."

Hello! How do I get to the application page for Bond, I'm currently on QTAC but im unable to get to that page and it remains on my existing applications to other universities.

On QTAC for choosing our preferences, when I search up the medical program at Bond University, there are 2 options (the May and September intake), but both fall under the same category. Do we only need to choose the May one or do we need to include both options in?

Choose the one you’d prefer to be in. If you qualify for 1 you qualify for both.

Do you want both cohorts or only one ? If you only want one choose one

Not sure if this is new information at all, but the May intake consists of a much larger cohort than the September one. If you're wanting to apply for 2022, I'd recommend to go for the May intake (start the course earlier, graduate earlier basically). Furthermore, when second year rolls around, the May cohort (as far as I know) learns the content in a more linear fashion (sem 1 then 2 then 3) whereas the September cohort learns it in a different format (sem 2, 3 then 1 i believe). Not sure how much this impacts the content taught, but something to consider if you're tossing up!

Hopefully that made sense, but I'm happy to elaborate if anyone would like :)

hey guys i was wondering whether someone could answer these questions:

1. i didnt get a 1st round offer for JCU and i know chances of me getting a 2nd round offer are minimal, however, i want to keep it as my first preference still. since bond will only consider you if you put them as your first preference which i have to do by the 27th of jan, how do i do this when second round JCU offers come out 28th? will moving JCU to my 2nd and bond to 1st impact my JCU offer? i only have one free change of preferences yet!

2. will putting both the may and sept intake as 1st and 2nd preferences increase my chances at all or shall i just put one

3. should i call QTAC after i change my preferences to ask how i should provide supporting documents that i've completed my pre req? i'm an interstate high school leaver so shoudn't they already know my atar and subjects?

sorry if these have been asked before!!
